Bismillah to be dropped from (Bangladesh) Constitution

I am not talking just for the sake of India bashing. I personally know hundreds of our Bangali Hindus who have migrated to west Bengal. Ask any Calcutta Bengali, he would have no praise for these destitute people who struggle too hard in a virtual foreign society, but, do not receive respect from their Indian co-religionists. These two groups do not intermix the way we the Bangladeshi muslims can mix with our Hindus.

Do not say I have not met any Indians. This is why I know they are a self-centered bunch of egoists, who do not even care to know how other people think of them. I am talking of the educated Indians. Do you want to know what happened in Tokyo with Durga Puja about 10 years ago? Since our own minorities are less in numbers, instead of arranging a separate Puja, they used to go to the Indian Puja Mandap. But, they were systematically bullied, insulted and roughened each and every time.

So, some of their seniors came to us and pleaded with us to assist. All the Bangladeshi muslims and organizations came forward to answer the stupid Indian behavior. It was a national humiliation that could not be accepted by us. There could have been a riot between Indian Hindus and the joint Bangladeshi Muslim/Hindu. But, no one can do anything in Japan.

Now, with the help of BD Muslims, our Hindus are celebreting Pujas (Durga and Saraswati) every year. You will be surprised to see that most of the audience are muslims of BD, because it is our Puja.

Apologies for butting in. But Durga and Saraswati Puja issue has nothing to do with Indian Bengali and Bangladeshi friction. These pujas are full of controversies and people tend to boss each other around, which leads to arguments and then some. Here in Sydney, there is at least 10 Bangladeshi Puja Samitis and about 4 Indian Bengali ones. I hear they all started as one group about 15 years ago and every 2 or 3 years they keep splitting up. So now we have at least 15 puja celebrations.. If we go by your logic then Bangladeshis would have never split. Although i agree that even here in Sydney loads of Bangladeshi Muslims do attend the pujas which is very nice gesture.

The same thing I can see in this forum by the nature of most of the Indians. To tell you frankly, our temperament does not suit your kind of self-sentered profit motivated people. We like broad minded people, but I do not find many of them in this forum.

Just to win a debate you guys even distort historical facts. It means you guys do not respect history. So, it is not unusual that Hindus did not write chronological history during the Hindu era.

How rich a person is, how much property that person holds, how much educated a person is or how rich is his country are all meaningless unless he does not fight for the right things. Indians do not understand that paying respect is also a way to be respected. Indeed, some people seem to be very shallow minded.

Sorry, this thread is about the word 'Bismillah.'

Thanks for the detailed post. You cannot judge a nation based on some fight between the communities in Japan. We celebrate Diwali with our Pakistani friends in US. So what you are saying could not be anything more than a fight/argument between communities. Indians themselves have these politics between people of different states.
Good to know that you guys helped your BD Hindus for the puja.
Indians in general have a good opinion about Bangladeshis. The Indian media as far as possible does not show negatives about Bangladesh. So we are of the opinion that you guys like us. But the truth is Bangladeshis hate us. Not because the Indians in this forum but in general because of your politics and our religion. Your politics and media uses India as the bogeyman and the hatred is manufactured. How many times have you seen an Indian posting a negative article about Bangladesh? No matter what post it is about BD, it ends as an India bashing thread. When there is so much hatred for us here, even the sane, rational person would take sides .

A year ago, after the BDR massacre, your media has blamed SQ Chowdhury having links with ISI and conspiring the BDR mutiny. We all know the media in India. Its not only Bangladesh, but yours too

Come on you are giving one example. You guys are posting countless article demonizing India. You wouldn't find any such negative portrayal in Indian media. Bangladesh features no where in India's list of issues and the public don't buy it either.

.
Also how do you know Bangladeshis don't support this, do you see any widespread protest in Bangladesh against the change? Any killing of governor, people en masse doing rally? etc etc?

This news has not circulate yet. I personally do not think that AL will drop Bismillah from constitution just to please minority. We will find out when they amend the constitution. If AL do drop the word then Al leaders including La-Hasina will be seeking refugee status in your country.

I promise we will not disappoint you.

 well said Al-Zakir

and I don't think its going to happen. Bangladeshi peoples are also very emotional like Pakistanis
We might have been different but when it comes to religion - we start thinking alike

No one ever considers bangladesh as an adversary in india. Truth be told, i was under the impression that we were allies before joining this forum. Besides pakistan, mainstream media has no other country to bash. I have actually come across bangladeshis in this forum resenting their country's liberation. Its sad, funny; but also true.

I am not trying to teach you about the importance or otherwise of bismillah and you are right, i am not qualified to either. on the contrary i am trying to learn as to why bismillah is so important to you that the country might get divided. ?

Bismillah mean in the name of Allah. Pleasing Allah is more important to us then wealth and fame. A major chunk of our people willing to give life in the name of Allah. If Bismillah remove then it will be view as attack against Islam. This government will be view as Kafir. Uleam e din will be force to called Jihad against anti-Islamic government. As a result division is inevitable.

And you think that's the right thing to do rather than transforming to a secular nation..?

Which part of Islamic you do not understand here? Are you going tell our people to change their soul believe here?

You should have gone to a country where they say bismillah everyday rather than the Kafir nation you are in now.

which part of part of islamic ? i did not get.
And who said somebody to change their beliefs ?
I am not imposing anything it's your govt making changes which i think is the right thing to do.what is our people ? " our people means" not only muslims but all bangladeshi people with different beliefs or is it not ? .A state should not discriminate any religion or people..perhaps equality may be hard for you to understand..secularism also.

Well all the best to you!

You'll get a lot of support in this forum considering many people condoning the killing of Punjab governor.

Whats wrong in keeping the word, removal or inclusion of words dont make a country secular, its the harmony prevailing there which decides to which extent it is secular.
