Just announcing policies is not enough, it is important to execute them as well. Besides....there has been reforms on a lot of sectors which UPA would have never announced or even thought off. For one to say UPA is NDA is plain falsehood. Arun Shourie is past his prime and is just upset at not getting Finance ministry.

1. Mohan Bhagwat's comment did make a big enough damage, the panicky statements from BJP leadership was obvious
2. Very poor ticket distribution as a lot of tickets were distributed to family members as told by Jha earlier
3. 2-3 MP's from inside tried their best spoil the election campaign.

This has far more to do with insider sabotage, caste voting by Yadav's and Kurmi's only made it worse. If you look in terms of sheer vote share , BJP did not loose by much

Mohan Bhagwat's comment would have zero impact IF BJP had DALIT Leaders in Bihar or UP.

Simple fact is BJP DON'T have credible and Strong DALIT or Backward Caste leaders, so no point in blaming Bhagwat.

Same holds true for UP. Next elections in UP is going to be a Big Fail for BJP unless it ties up with Mayawati. State election is a different ball game from National elections.
