Big Announcement by Afghan Ambassador on CPEC

Afghan ambassador to Pakistan, Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal has said that CPEC is pivotal for the development of the region. He expressed these remarks while speaking at Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on the occasion of Pakistan Afghan and Central Asian Region Trade Summit. He also assured Afghanistan’s support to CPEC. He said that the regional trade was on a rise in the world. He further said that both countries should make efforts to promote regional trade and take tangible steps in the regard. He further said that Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics would also benefit from CPEC.

It's not as if you guys are thankfull for all the favours we are doing for you now let alone CPEC. Allowing you guys to come in our country for health , education and business. Allowing your country to transit through torkham , investing $500 million in afghanistan by building universities and hospitals.

Consider all this a favour because we are doing it for people who pretty much hate our guts and there are Pakistan murdabad rallies every now and then .

We can still choose whether or not we want to give you a fair amount of the pie, we can just do what we like, it's not as if Afghanistan can actually stop us (no offence, just being realistic).

Good if Afghanistan becomes part of CPEC as its a win win for both, but it should know that the age of freebies is over. All refugees are going home and the border is becoming more closely guarded and manned, until confidence is built again. Participation in joint economic programs is the first step towards building confidence.

Have you seen your media?I watch it regularly now. The propaganda is insane. In one of your Talk shows on tolo news analyst was adamant that Pakistan has such a great highway/expressway network and Islamabad , Lahore and Hayatabad got developed because of the refugee money that we got from united nations. He was taking credit for that . In one of the most insane theories I have heard he also said Pakistan become a nuclear power was because of Afghanistan

With such delusional talk shows how can you expect folks in afghanistan to be normal?. Well you dont hate us because you are educated (most afghans arent) so they believe everything they are fed. Can you show me one good report by your media where they have praised us for the projects that we have done in afghanistan?or any report about how letting 5 million afghans live for 30 years ?No.

CPEC is an inclusive development. Afg can / must be a part of it. But first it has become a free country and stop being used by troublemakers who wish to harm CPEC.

There has to be peace first in Afg and the troublemakers must leave. With integeration into CPEC Afg peoples can and certainly shall have a better future.

But at this stage keeping CPEC focused on Sino-Pak economic integeration and those of other Stans in central asia is the priority.
