World is big enough and both powers have got ample place to work, live and operate peacefully. Healthy competition is good for the world and trade, hot, cold and any other wars you name it not only hurts both powers but it effects rest of the world too. US is a great power and even its not performing as she should while China is on the rise but both powers have got a place in this world and a lot to offer, Friendship or even a healthy working relationship between these two great powers is win win for us all. Lets hope both nations understand not only them, but also rest of the world deserves peace, justice, equality, decent living standards and jobs too.

I don't think US can accept to be no 2nd.

The last effort she will do is influencing her ally and many other nations to isolate China, or even physical war.

They cannot militarily defeat China due to nukes and no bases on China's borders. If the result is anything other than a crushing victory they will lose everything and not even have #2 anymore. Every passing day gets worse for them.

US already tried forcing allies to isolate China but failed to even stop Huawei. Biden has accepted this and is set to roll back tariffs and trade restrictions.

They will of course not accept being #2. They'll come out with some cope from guys like Peter Zeihan and say how China's #1 isn't really #1 which is fine. Their acceptance is not required, just like how Trump's acceptance of losing the election isn't required.
