Speaking Exclusively to Pakistan Defence, veteran Bureaucrat, and academic Irshad Ahmed Kaleemi. gave an in-depth analysis of Joe Biden's election as the 46th President of the United States, and its potential implications for Pakistan and Modi regime in India.

Bad omen for Modi regime means good omen for India overall, so is a bad news for Pakistan.

India was never so divided by religion, ethnicity as of now thanks to Modi, the divider-in-chief. So a full second term and a third term for Modi regime is good for Pakistan.

Modi, the ruling RSS, the extremists are the best thing happened to Pakistan...

I agree. See both Indians and Pakistanis want Modi at the helm.

There is some truth to this.

Modi, broadly speaking, delegitimises Indian actions because of his background.

Let us say Congress miraculously won tomorrow. A school of thought would argue that Congress and Biden's administration maintaining the present status in Kashmir lends it some degree of credibility.

Luckily, Indians are a hopelessly stupid nation of head-bobbling butlers who will never understand such delicate nuances of geopolitics, hence Modi is with us for a long long time yet. Americans learned their lesson in 4 years. Optics do actually matter.

You honestly think Indians will evolve to this level of cunning even after 40 years of Modi?

Our own pdf Indians on this very thread haven't figured this out even though I'm spelling it out for them!

I also wholeheartedly agree...for totally different and opposite reasons though.

A.Kejriwal also agree...

"What Pakistan could not do in 70 years, Modi and Shah said in five years by dividing Indian society,” he said."

LOL. Thanks for letting the hopelessly stupid people know that your lineage includes all the Einstein & Newtons and Aryabhattas & Paninis that ever walked on this earth. Someone had rightly said that the foolish is always confident of this viewpoint while the sensible keeps weighing pros & cons.

Modi for them conjures up an image of revival of Hinduism, mocked by the seculars and Islamists alike.

Modi conjures up an image of a renaissance and rebirth of Vedic Hinduism, the coming home of the real Hindu vibes and culture, a eureka kind of thingy, it's also a vengeance and a vendetta for a millennium rule of Muslims...now Bharat has found the lost treasure trove of real Hinduism, the lost roots hidden in the debris.

And the extra nationalist fervor also translates into the new fond power, bravado...as Congress was associated with a weak India, in foreign policy too.

It is not only a revenge from Muslims, it is also a revenge from Hindu seculars(sickulars), Liberals(liberandus)...and the Hindus who hates the Hindutva.

So overall looking from a Pak perspective, this is all God sent for Pakistan.

What matters, what Biden says him self not what commentators says.
Kamla Devi will ensure Indian interests and this remains a fact, which no commentator can sugar coat.

I hope america stays far away from Pakistan. I would rather another india on our border than amaerica as a friend

In the words of Henry Kissinger

Its dangerous to be americas enemy but suicidal to be its friend

seems like many Pakistanis believe that Biden will enter White House with his own rule book. Guys, he is going to be the President of US not President of democrat's. He will follow what the US policy towards India has been.

How can you forget that the most favorable US president in recent history for India was Barak Obama... None the less Kamala Harris will significantly hedge for Indian interest during her term .

Only difference we will see is going to be absence of stupid tweets from Trump. the rest remains as it is .. cheers

Nothing will change. You are correct.

Frankly I hope they do not become friendly towards Pakistan. America is better at an arms length

They dream this for decades.

ahh, this guy will want to resume the war in afghanistan and take things back to obama days! something needs to be done on that front NOW!

A Sikh ethnostate (khalistan) as a buffer state between India and Pakistan ?

Kashmiri separatism is still a real thing, nothing close to that exists in Punjab, zero.

Doubt much will change with the Biden administration at all wrt their India-Pak policy. Expect trade and military ties to keep growing between India and the US, if anything, because Biden is such a globalist and a strictly not 'America firster' like Trump, India possibly stands to gain, and gain quite a lot if Biden and the west in general continue their long term strategy of decoupling (in part) from China by diversifying their supply chain across SE Asia.

Trump wasn't that bad for Pakistan. Pretty even handed when dealing with India-Pak, had a good rapport with Modi but hosted IK too and got along and listened to the Pak perspective as well. Kept India out of the Afghan deal, stepped in and helped behind the scenes with last year's skirmish. Apart from stopping some aid, didn't do much damage to US-Pak ties.

Think Obama and Israel, and Israel not only have a lot of clout within the US, they're a much more important ally than India. Obama took it as far as any POTUS could with his rhetoric, calling out the "most right wing government ever" of Israel ever and made plenty of positive overtures to the muslim world but also could not stop the settlements, and also funded the Iron Dome and everything else like the snake that he was.

India is no Israel but Biden is Obama 2.0 policy wise, rhetoric wise.. we may hear something from his administration but don't expect India to be sanctioned or for ties to fray in any way.

End of the day, the whole Kashmir and India Pakistan situation just isn't going to figure at the top of any US administration's agenda.. barring a crisis and serious threat of nuclear conflict breaking out. Last year's skirmish.. nobody was seriously worried about nuclear war, the ongoing Ladakh/Galwan incident.. nobody is seriously worried about nuclear war.

MAD is keeping things under control in this part of the world.

The new admin will be mostly busy on their domestic front and internal culture war, and Iran and China abroad.
