BGB fires blanks to stop Rohingya refugees at Bandarban border

No you are just another wannabe gora who tries his level best to mimic his overlords.

Believe me when i say it, word has reached us from credible channels that your country is in a pretty bad shape. Needs more help monetarily, equipments and personnel wise. Perhaps you could help them instead of whiling your time away...

OK, please tell us what the "pretty bad shape" is?

This is what I see:

1. BD is spending over 10 billion US dollars so far to support the economy and livelihoods.

2. Both garments and electronic industries are now producing Covid-19 related equipment, apart from ventilators which Walton will churn out in the thousands end of April/early May every week if required. Already other countries are benefitting from Covid-19 supplies from BD factories and more will follow.

3. So far "only" 50 people have died and BD is now testing 2000 a day with concrete plans to ramp this up massively by end of this month. Rate of infection is keeping in line with increased testing.

4. Social distancing is being enforced with the help of the BD Army and whole cities like Dhaka have been put into quarantine with no-one allowed to enter or leave.

5. IMF predicts 2% growth this year followed by 10% next year - better numbers than India in fact.

So who exactly are you trying to fool here dude?

That guy is salty.

That's it, plain and simple.

"The coronavirus patients and suspected cases at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, where 1,200 beds have been set aside for COVID-19, have been segregated into wards depending on their faith. While Medical Superintendent Dr Gunvant H Rathod said a ward for Hindu patients and another for Muslim patients had been created as per a state government decision, Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Nitin Patel denied any knowledge of it.

Dr Rathod said, “Generally, there are separate wards for male and female patients. But here, we have made separate wards for Hindu and Muslim patients.” On being asked the reason for such a segregation, Dr Rathod said, “It is a decision of the government and you can ask them.”"

Reading is fundamental.

To hell with your garment industries and BBS projections, your country is struggling to stay afloat.

Hospitals are denying admissions to your patients.

Doctors are being fired from their jobs from the non government hospitals.

Take your feel good story to someone else, we know everything from the health side being in the same profession.

.
Whats your specialization?

Nothing. I don't know the guy and barely interact with Bangladeshis.

It was Axomiya's words that rang a bell.

And the Iranian actually did turn out to have studied medicine at one of the famous Russian colleges. Which was really funny at the time.

Even Razi had jumped in about some uncle or cousin of his who used to farm and had studied medicine from the same. As I recall.

Why, afraid to ask about the status of your country? BD is in need of medical professionals, your public health system have been overwhelmed, no good private ones are out of their wits.

All these when the quacks and expats continue to paint a rosy picture.

LOL - IMF is projecting and not BBS.

BD will do just fine while in India we have a mess with that clown Modi as Prime Minister who pulled the "lockdown" stunt to impress the world, while having 100 million or so migrant workers stranded 100s of miles form their homes in the mess called India.

https://www.dhakatribune.com/busine...-govt-to-provide-loan-to-returnee-expatriates

"Besides, every returnee will receive Tk5,000 on arrival at the airport while the family of each expatriate worker, who died of coronavirus, will get Tk3 lakh

The government will provide loans from Tk5-7 lakh to returning jobless expatriate workers from different countries amid Covid-19 pandemic, to enable them to pursue viable economic activities especially in agriculture sector.

Besides, every returnee will receive Tk5,000 on arrival at the airport while the family of each expatriate worker, who died of coronavirus, will get Tk300,000, reports BSS."

Yeah, BD is really struggling here!

My attention fizzled out.

Thanks for the LOLs.

The Burmese don't mess around. Historically.

Actually watched a significant part of one of the hyper crappily dubbed Ong Bak movies a couple of nights back.

Just because some of the boy cut girls in tribal jungle wear seemed cute.

First time I saw you get unbanned in front of my eyes just now....pink to green. :)

I only watched the first ong bak movie...which was fairly good.

Yes the Burmese are a proud, resolute people that have shaped their nation around the rich irrawady. They even fought off multiple chinese invasions (when China was ally of Thailand whom Burma were at war with many times).

They only succumbed to British (once brits got enough hold in India)...which is understandable given the difference in military prowess....as we know with Maratha story too.

They (Burmese) have my respect on military and cultural history.

Forget language.... what matters most is they are Muslim.... Myanmar is Buddhist country. Neighboring Thailand is Buddhist country..... only nearest Muslim country which shares land boundaries with Myanmar is Bangladesh.... other two Muslim states sharing maritime boundaries are Malaysia and Indonesia..... if these three states are ready to share the numbers of Rohingya with each other then nothing like it..... But first responsibility naturally goes to Bangladesh as its closest among three.... Rohingya are muslims.... purpose of Bangladesh was to form a state where muslims can practice their religion without any disturbance.... so Rohingya muslims should be welcomed....

Why not??? If Bangladesh offers whole chittagong along with Rohingya staying there India might consider.... however this time there will be no territory exchange as India will be giving Bangladesh a rid of Rohingya burden....

Honestly I believe language is far more closer to indicative root culture than religion (because religion becomes where do you draw the line in definitions especially for very downstream civilisation religions)....and we see all the problems in world with uniting on basis of religion as be all end all over the other markers (ethnicity, underlying root culture, language etc etc)

Thus when you have federations based on multiple language root cultures (for whatever reason of circumstance), there are going to be fissure points...and there either needs to be tolerance for that (from all concerned sides) while the federation establishes, stabilises and establishes in the critical early time period (rather than wage sedition from onset, that too goading a neighbour for help on aformentioned religious basis, which was found a severely lacking purity test for that neighbour just mere years later)

....OR the federation breaks up (if enough circumstance and population + strength to do it) OR the specific troublemakers are booted out with time (if aforementioned conditions are not there, and they obviously have closer core culture nearby) because they made it to be themselves that they dont belong in the fabric....and hypocritically expect amnesia on that selectively on top and then wail one-way bloody murder when the consequences do come downstream.

It messed around greater Assam and as a result invited British troops to occupy and rule their land. They are messing around BD now by expelling millions of Rohingya to BD. However, being an Indian you are speaking of Burmese brighter side. Burma will remain the sick man of Asia.

These Sanghis are hilarious.

I think they should worry about 'apna ghar samhalo' being how bad things are. Unemployment has already hit close to 8% and Fitch (as well as Morgan Stanley) has downgraded their GDP growth to 2%, a 30 year low. Story isn't better in 2021 - will only creep up to maybe 5%. Auto and Bank sectors are in shambles. And now for some hilarious news. Kanjoos Indians have even stopped buying the cheapest of cheap snacks, Parle-G biscuits which could mean laying off 10,000 workers!

I suggest India being a much larger country take them as a humanitarian gesture.

China and Russia are bigger countries. The USA is also a bigger country. Also Australia.

Just watch what happens post CoVid-19 as their sad-sack economy goes to the gutter (it already is in it). They will be begging to comply.

Economy going down the gutter is good for the Chinese. Not for the Rohingya.
