South Asians are the worst (Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, etc). Germans and other West-Europeans are the best. Their organization, disciplinary and ability to adapt skills are superior to any other people in the world. Middle Easters are worse too.

nah Pakistan has good discipline army wise bad decision makers. we were always cursed with bad leaders. but ground solder pak good. Egyptians look good they are capable if they can sort their problems out. can anyone expand on the Egyptians?. and Iranians?.

It's true! Even as an American I can strongly say Pakistan is a beast on the ground. The several wars it has fought has given it its niche as the true defensive tank of South Asia. You can never push Pakistan down; it is too sturdy!

Eastern-Iranians were always fierce fighters; Scythians (Saka) are a good example.

And you forgot Pashtun and Baloch people.

When we talk about Pakistan it means all Pakistan and not some specific ethnic group.

Add Marathas also!! They were the only people stood against invaders from west when all Punjabi, Rajputs gave up!

Force sin west have good discipline and training. I've just recalled a incident happened in African peace keeping mission where convey of Indian Peace keeping forces along with soldiers from western countries (u know the name) came under fire. The western soldier along with commander were hiding or searching for shelter but did not dare to counter attack attack. That was the time Indian capt. took command and got his soldiers (Indian) to offer resistance and pushed attackers back.

In process 5 soldier including 4 from west died and killed approx 26 attackers to save the day.

In short the bravery and discipline is not the trait only for developed countries but it's part of the every race on this earth.

Moral of story : You can found braves and Gandus in every army, western countries aren't exception

Wow! That would be like 900,000 Indian soldiers surrendering unconditionally! And since 90000 is far less than 900,000, no wonder, some Pakistanis consider '71 a victory!

Btw, @OP: what is the point of the thread again? If its for allowing every tribe and ethnicity on this forum for some chest thumping and a sense of bravado, then mission accomplished! If only wars were fought and won merely on the basis of an average soldiers' training....

You lost the 71 war not because of India? You mean the Mukthi Bahini routed the Pakistan Army in then East Pakistan? Then I would say that Bengalis are the best soldiers!

i cant control the thread. people like to go off topic. i laid out the simple no. list to follow but also said they dont need to follow it. i myself mentioned afghan/Chechnya for sake of it if it had an army it be one of the best in terms of man strength. .

Overall for me it the Turkish army due to their past experience of been formidable power that expanded to vast territories .
plus the war which they helped i believe was Korea and Turks after running out of ammo and fixed bayonet and carried on. Took on many other empires at the same time when it was subjected to many problem/betrayal at home. due to back stabbing and betrayal ottomans were crumbling. NOTE:Turks today are still uncivilized and disciplined barbarian for war which i never sell out or trade for any rice crispy toy.
