I would have to say the Germans. They were fighting the whole world, including 4 superpowers (USA, UK, France, Soviet Union) and survived 5 years. No other country can do that.

Not half as epic as Turkish war of independence, I've never known another nation beating the odds and crushing well organized superior forces while being betrayed by all it's friends and starving to death itself. It freezes the blood inside me. Even greatest conquests of Ottoman Empire are unworthy of speaking compared to it.

If there was anything to admire about III. Reich it was their engineering capabilities. But then over-complexities of their designs left their equipment almost impossible to maintain most of their heaviest tanks went out of action due to mechanical problems.

truth be told never judge countries economy by their gdp but resources difference is cash is to buy resouces over first hand resources. for example barter trade you switch/swap resources skipping out time and money but money buys resources. i hope you understand what i mean.

another example is like pak people are poor cash wise but not first hand resouces wise like food n water cos they are farmer they produce the resources.

Gurkhas are a beast . Born and raised in High altitude climate and taught to be warriors from birth . In Falklands War they got Argentinians so scared that they blamed british of bringing Gurkhas who have Black magic powers . There are people who tell stories of Gurkhas in WW2 .One of the stories was about two Gurkhas who went on a behind enemy lines night recce with a British officer. They came accross three Germans asleep in a trench and the Gurkhas to the officer to keep quiet and then cut the heads off the two outer soilers and swapped them, leaving the middle soldier to find them next morning. That guy went mad screaming.
