What's new

Besides Kashmir, What else are the reason of animosity between India and Pakistan?

Prove me that Punjabi from Pakistan are really different genetically as compared to Punjabi from India or a Delhite?
Punjabis in Pakistan are not the same as Punjabis in Delhi or Indian Punjab.

Punjabis in Pakistan have intermarried Pathans and Sindhis and Balochis.

Now take your brain fart somewhere else.

But the Hindus and Sikhs are generally darker skinned in India and have intermarried Tamils and Bengalis and Biharis.

For the ultra nationalist Vedantists, they can never accept that Vedantists and other Dharmic followers WILLINGLY (for the most part) converted to Islam and eventually decided to make their own state on their own native land which by the way is where Vedic civilization originates.

Does it matter if they accept or not?
Most of Hindus in India cannot even tell the names of vedas. For that matter a large number of them don't even know what the heck is veda, a book or a dish. The number of Hindus who know one single word in veda will be even less. Hinduism --as practiced in India and as opposed to Islam and other religion of the book-- puts surprisingly less emphasis on reading their own scriptures but following rituals centered around idol worship.

Punjabis in Pakistan are not the same as Punjabis in Delhi or Indian Punjab.
Let me put it in this way. They have more in common then say among Pakistani Punjabi and an Scottish or even an Iranian. If you call Indian Punjabi and Pakitani punjabi as different as black and white or day and night, I wonder what will you call a Pakistani Punjabi and a Chinese difference.

The ultranationalists are in Government last time I checked. So it matters. If they were a rag tag bunch at the periphery of Bharati society like the foreign financed TTP is in Pakistan, then it might not matter.

  I have done this a lot on this very forum. Take your time to google this "pakistan railway station crowd" and select top 3 or 5 pics. Preferably those which show closeup or the people or faces of the people are clearly visible. Then do the same for india railway station crowd. Then tell me if you folks are looking so 'racially' different. Also compare then with someone who looks really different. Say Chinese. Or say Scandinavian. Essentially Indian and specifically North and north western Indians and Pakistani are so similar that entire argument of racial difference is like two teenagers fighting on 'vermillion red' and 'scarlet red' for their dress. They are somewhat different perhaph but does not discount the fact that they both are bright red.

Turth is, Pakistani Punjab -- which accounts for more than half of your population -- shares a lot of 'race' with Indian Punjab and Delhi and Haryana to an extent. As far as India goes, there is no common true blue Indian race. We are a mixed bunch.

I have been to Pakistan over 30 times and have lived in London all my life which has a huge indian population. I can say with certainty that by and large indians/benglais are more different to Pakistanis racially than the Muslims of the nations West of us. Punjab is more of a linguistic than a racial group. Punjabis make up 50% of Pakistan but less than 5% of india. Out of that 5% an even smaller % have any racial links with Pakistan whatsoever. So at least 95% of indians have NO RACIAL connection with Pakistanis whatsoever. But that is neither here nor there. 40% of Pakistanis who live in the Northern and Western regions of the country have racial connections to over 50% of Afghans and Iranians/Persians. In fact some of those Pakistanis in the North West of Pakistan belong to some of the oldest Persian tribes. But that does not make us Pakistanis Iranians/Persians,/Afghans or Middle Eastern. Just as it doesn't make us racial indians.

PS indians might be made up mixed ethnicities/groups but virtually all those groups have nothing racially in common with Pakistanis like Afghans and Southern Iranians do.

The only thing is that even with ultranationalist in power, I am yet to see any single law around ultra Hinduism being passed. The most significant work of this ultranationalist government is around tax-reform, land reform that failed and foreign policy.

Nope. The most significant thing is that these crazy extremists (the Vedantist version of the TTP) had enough support by the public to be elected into Government.

Yeah! Why the heck then someone speaking Hindi can still make sense of Urdu quite a bit? Why the heck then a lot of dresses are so common between two countries? Why the heck then our foods and spices have so much commonality? Why the heck rest of the world often gets confused one for another. Hell even we all get confused many a time and have to ask for ethnic origin of the guy to acertain if they are from Pakistan or India.

That means nothing. Here in the UK, English people mistake Pakistanis for Arabs, Turks, Iranians, South Americans, Greeks etc. Doesn't make us one of them. Just as it doesn't make us indian. So what's your point?

I don't need your twisted silly logic.

Pakistani Punjabis have more in Common with Pathans and Sindhis in Pakistan than with any Indian.

Here is the evidence that Pakistanis are a completely different racial group to indians and that we have far more in common racially with the Muslim nations to the West of Pakistan:
