China is doing better than Pakistan, be it corruption combat , technology, poverty eradiction and economy. I am very happy with what Xi Jinping is doing to China. Corruption cannot be eradicated in a single day and no countries can accomplish that feat too. Even the so called western nation has their root of corruption and abuse of power like Boris Johnson organized party when covid restriction was enforced during peak.

I would love some constructive comment while those meant to attack China effort in corruption combat effort shall be ignored. They just attack China for sake of attacking. While forget to take a mirror and look at themselves.

That is not the point. The point is Xi adminstration are doing a good job in mending out strong punishment against incompetent and corruption. This action itself already serves as a strong accountability against future disaster management. You shall reserve your criticism comment for Biden adminstration who yet to held anybody accountable for hurricane disaster slow response.

Why does it take a tragedy for the central government to push for accountability? Why can’t the central government be more proactive and audit and test these systems beforehand to prevent disasters?

We should not question the ability of China's central government, which has proved itself many times. PDF Chinese members should not compare the Henan provincial government with foreign governments. After all, each country has its own national conditions, and it is unfair to force comparison. The rainstorm exceeded three times the designed maximum precipitation in Zhengzhou, far exceeding the maximum precipitation recorded in history. Such a sudden natural disaster can not be prevented and solved by audit and testing. But this does not mean that all officials are not responsible. Floods cannot be avoided, but hundreds of deaths can be avoided. As the direct commander of disaster relief, Zhengzhou municipal government naturally has the responsibility of leadership. The municipal Party committee and the organization department that recommend and appoint Zhengzhou officials also have the responsibility. Officials of Zhengzhou Metro and other institutions have direct responsibility. These officials will be punished.
