Majority of the people in Afghanistan also speak Farsi, but they call that language "Dari".

What is more accurate term for that language Farsi or Dari. We call Persian language, "Farsi", but they say no its Dari.

In English, the language is known as Persian. In Persian, its known as Farsi (can also be known as Parsi, but this isnt very common). Dari is just a variation of Persian that is spoken in Afghanistan. They're both the same language essentially, but with some noticeable dialectical differences.

For example, this poetry of Allama Iqbal is in Farsi language but Afghans say its Dari, we call this language Farsi.

YouTube - Az Chashme Saqi - Hadiqa Kiani (Exclusive)

Its Persian but sounds very un-Iranian. So perhaps thats why some Afghans consider it to sound more-like how they speak Persian/Dari.

Not all iranians are close to all afghans, the only groups who have got everything in common between each other is the Tajiks of Afghanistna and Persians of Iran, as a matter of fact the Tajiks are East Persians. Pashtoons of Afghanistan do not have anything with iran, and so do the Turkmens and Kurds of Iran dont have anything with Afghanistan. it is purely ethnic to ethnic relations. culture and way of life of Tajiks is the closest and in many ways the same with the persians of iran.

I dont disagree with what you said except perhaps for the last sentence. Over the past 120 years or so Iran and Iranian society have been undergoing some very profound and radical changes that have largely been shaped by the political situations inside the country – situations which have obviously not influenced the development and society of Persians/Tajiks outside of Iran. So maybe at one time in history, people of say Mashhad were closer to people in Herat and Balkh than to people in Tabriz (Azerbaijan) or Sanandaj (Kordestan), but not any more. Its like saying that people from Baku and Tabriz are closer to eachother than Tabrizis and Tehranis, just because they speak the same mother-tongue. But that is not exactly true either.

Btw, you should include some pictures of Herat and other Tajik cities in this topic if you have any. I think they would fit here.

I know that.. but I thought among all your neighbors you are more closely related to Afghans .. not in friendly way.. but in others ways..

We probably have more in common with the Tajiks of Afghanistan then anyone else.

Indeed they are, what else?

The people that would be the first to fight Azerbaijan will be Iranian Azeris. Why would anyone in their right mind want to live in Azerbaijan? As i already told you before Zakali, the army stationed in Tabriz alone is enough to turn Azerbaijan into rubble.

I don't think any of them would fight for someone who declares Armenians as their brothers and friendliest nation.

it's always sad but kind of amusing to see the Azeri and Iranian nationalists fighting eachother on the net.
