It is easier to demonize and attack some other community if they are concentrated away from your area - as is the case of Rohingya in Arakan province, and partially the case in Kashmir valley.
It is a lot harder to attack neighbors whom you see everyday, whom you grew up with, attended schools with, who look and talk like you.

So to alleviate Indian Muslims' problems, the answer is more integration rather than segregation.

We need someone from the community like Martin Luther King was for Blacks in US to fight for more integration.

On the specific question of moving to Kashmir or Gujrat
- outsiders irrespective of religion are not allowed to buy property in J&K
- UP has more muslim percentage compared to Gujrat

I do believe Modi or Shah should make a public statement declaring how such anti-Muslim hate crimes will not be tolerated. A public show of strength from the highest office goes a long way.

Rohingyas were next door to BD, that did not protect them. In fact, it helped Myanmar's narrative that they are in fact Bangladeshis.

I agree with you, however believe it or not, the implementation of the law at the ground level does get affected by public pressure and the leadership direction.
If a local police officer feels that he can be easily transferred if not toying the line of high level politicians, he wont have the gumption to charge real offenders.

I have heard this BS from Hindus for years that Muslims need to "integrate". What it really means is that Muslims need to abandon their religious traditions, stop eating beef, stop wearing hijab, stop sporting a beard.

It is not going to happen.

We will live in India as Muslims and follow our own religion.

If you don't like that then go to Nepal or Kailasa.

While in theory yes, a political directive from the highest leader of state or country should help, but that is precisely the problem. Why does a police officer need to be told by a political leader to do his job!

Why don't you come to India and help us in the fight? You can easily cross over into Assam and help the Assamese Muslims to create a new state.

It is easy to sit in a Muslim majority or Western country and say anything.
