BDR Revolt: A deadly strategic game plan

So dude , basically , you want to say that we should believe you just becaue "you think so " ? The world doesn't work that way .

Even indians can point fingers at bangladesh for promoting seperatist movements in northeast india and of supporting some terrorist groups.
However , we have extremely little evidence and that makes all the difference

You reply proves that you use "EVIDENCE" to block a mutually respectful dialogue and process of understanding through any resepected forum like this.

What you replied is the Standard Operating Procedure for those who first in defence will ask for EVIDENCE. Knowing fully well that there will be no such evidence in such sensitive events (unless you consider a blog quote or article by any reporter an evidence), they counter with the pathetic wisdom : ......you want to say that we should believe you just becaue "you think so " ? The world doesn't work that way .

Most interesting fact---as I noted in this forum---is that they mostly come from a single neighbour of ours who even do not know why the majority population around them are not liked by them.

Evidence is how the world works and if you dont like it , you can do nothing about it .
According to you , the whole judicial system should be undermined and evidence should just be a proxy to what people "think" and what they "believe"

Thank you very much but i wont buy that at any cost

As for your question ,
Some people in the world have a very narrow minded perspective towards other people and unfortunately , most of them are in south asia.
We are stuck in the middle :hitwall:

Why are you mixing Judicial System with this Civil forum---a most respected one to exchange views to understand the underlying truth without becoming cynical ? I never mentioned to change the Judicial system ever.

In a forum, people try to evaluate a statement through other available means elsewhere, and then agree to or counter them so that the truth evolves out.

Do you know that story where a small boy of 4 demanded of his mother solid evidence on father being the 'true' father---disregarding the common sense to accept mother's authenticity and she being the most reliable source of information on the particular issue ? He will be very disappointed if he sticks to "evidence' as is practiced in Judicial system. In a forum one requires to remain truthful, consider others also truthful but also careful to check any 'strange' statement elsewhere and then truthfully agrees or counters with due respect.

I have no intention to hurt you. But for years, I am wondering why with so much progress you are still failing to win over people in Maldives (I have got a number of friends there), Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, China & Pakistan ? See you are not really in the middle but right in the center.

India could be the hub of a regional progress if many could come out of the 'narrow-mindedness' that you yourself has pointed out---for perhaps others---forgetting the self.

Yes , you are partially right yet not as a whole . This narrow mindedness does't come from us . If you go see many of the posts on this , many members want to attack india just in the name of religion.

You wouln't see an indian member associating himself with a religion.
You see , basically , all the countries which hate us do that in the name if religion. Pakistan , BD , maldives and others do it because they dont want to anger china.

I don't think hatred to India is stemmed from religion. Today's India is the meeting place for at least 3 great religions : Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. Most Islamic schools in Bangladesh and Pakistan follow the traditions of Deoband, India.

For India, the best policy is so to stay secular. That is one of the reasons behind your recent progress.

For countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan and Maldives with overwhleming and monoithic nations, Islam is a part that can not be ignored.

In relationship with India, the pinch is felt elsewhere not in religious issues. Even in present India, there are certain world leaders of Islam and they are non-political and therefore hardly known to others.

To find the cause to my earlier question, you need to look into other areas.

Historically a large country is almost always looked on with suspicion, if not outright hostility, by most of its smaller neighbours. The Roman empire some hundred years ago to America today, it almost always seems to be a rule of thumb.

Which is not to say that it is right; on the contrary. But my point is that such relationships are almost always fraught with tension. The larger country is perceived - justifiably in many cases, unjustifiably in others - to be a bully.

As for India's attempts to be a secular country, well that works for us and I support it a hundred per cent.

But to justify the opposite in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Maldives is a fallacy, IMO.

Take Bangladesh. India's Hindu population is around 80% of the total. Bangladesh's Muslim population is 90%. How does the 10% difference in the majority between the two countries support a different political outlook? We must be secular, but you should take Islam into consideration?

In any case these are moot arguments. I would support a secular structure even if we were a 100% Hindu dominated population.

Many Indian friends are asking for (and mostly they all the time) EVIDENCE as if we are in a court. Here, is it done to block the truth stand ?

As regards to Leon's post in connection to who is behind BDR carnage, a Bangladeshi will not ask for evidence who happened to have a friend or relative inside or around BDR HQ at that time. They saw it and knew it who were behind.

Why that evidence did not show in BAL Govt controlled Report is entirely a different question, and many Indian brothers also smilingly know the answer.

In that case we are at an impasse. You say that people in BD know what happened. Forget proof or logic, that's not even the right way of thinking about it. It just lets suspicion, inherent hostility and base emotions guide your outlook. People who do that will always come to conclusions before evaluating and judging for themselves. Which is incorrect.

Geezz!!! indians can not stop gloating with their propaganda deception. Even with 20 % minority population Indians commit genocide on Muslims, repress them kill them on regular basis. Indian Christians are killed, burned and attacked on regular basis.

There is no comparison of despicable indian act with Bangladesh because minorities in Bangladesh enjoys equal and safer life.
