No seriously, in Scotland or rather mainland UK, whatever the reason, racism exists just below the surface, touch wood i haven't experienced any worst, but how could countries such as India practice this against people with darker skin. What ever we may be called in the Western societies, surely a victim in one place can't be the oppressor elsewhere.

Buddy you are just taking shots in the dark.
When a child is born, does he know that he is black or white, whether he is Hindu, Muslim or for that matter any religion, is it his fault that he or she was born in a Dalit's family etc. etc. The answer is a big NO.
This is at least what my religion, constitution, morals or mind preaches and teaches. Perhaps you can enlighten us with your beliefs and practices. Albeit I am sure, your religion also preaches peace and harmony.
