BBC reporter faces calls to resign after comment at Paris rally

I think the standoff against the crazies ended with a shootout in a Jewish store or something which is why Netanyahu came to France to drum up the "Jews are only safe in Israel" hysteria which the French President was angered by.
internal politics :fie:

I just dont understand what is all the fuss about, the reporter didnt say anything bad about Jews, He just mentioned about Palestinians being killed and because of his remarks, he had to apologise, well freedom of speech is thrown down the dustbin, This is what you called Freedom of speech for selective purposes.

.
Je Suis Willcox?? What do you guys think? Surely he has the freedom of speech to make such a comment, (which is 100% true) even though it can be said it was in bad taste. However he should not be made to step down over it.
The calls for resignation is absurd. However, Wilcox was wrong in trying to associate the current Israelis-Palestinians conflict, which is narrowly defined, with the broad systematic persecution of Jews everywhere 'going back to the days of the 1930s' as how his respondent put it. Wilcox's own personal bias is revealed here. Too quick at the trigger for a supposedly neutral reporter.

The woman exercised her freedom of speech and expressed her fears.

The man exercised his freedom of speech and made an allegation.

The people exercised their freedom of speech and called for his resignation.

No one killed anyone.

What's the fuss all about?

No one was killed. What's the fuss all about?

Well you guys didn't give a f*Ck when dozens of kids were killed in Gaza. So there is no fuss from you on killings either.

Are you waiting for murder before pointing out the remark hypocrisy?

Sometimes I wonder if people here really force themselves to not think for themselves.

  • Asking for resignation= Free speech too
  • Killing the man for making that statement= wrong, against free speech
Nobody here would disagree with one's right to call for a ban on Charlie Hebo. It's your right and your opinion, while others are free to disagree. They were even taken to court by two Islamic organizations in France.

But killing them for it is very different.

I don't follow the BBC so idk about the bias although I agree with the rest of your comment. Anyway it is too soon to see if he will resign, he has been made to apologize so that may just be it.

Apparently nobody here is calling for death or violence ... Nor did this reporter insult Jewish people or Judaism.

But he was forced to apologise .. Just like Charlie hedebo forced its own staff members for a story about sarzokys son convert due to financial games..

It's called hypocrisy ...
