My sense is that these lobbyist have pushing the narrative for so long that Pakistan is dysfunctional and will reman unsuccessful.....and getting so many in the USA gov and security establishment to go along with this assessment. Pakistan has done better than India over the last few years in military and strategic aspects. Pakistan's economy has not collapsed and is out performing expectations.
