What's new

Bars, Nightclubs, Lottery, Casinos, HorseRacing - Why can't we have those things?

Such leisurely pleasure things are big curse to people in developing countries they can get hooked on to it and spoil there and there family life. These are better off in developed literate world

In India only Goa i feel is allowed casinos that too because of large foreign tourist influx there

You can have these things but you have to have a population mature enough to manage these vices.

I absolutely hate gambling, it destroys lives. I have been to Vegas and it is the most soul destroying place I have ever been to.

Yes to a Malaysia like enviornment with bars and live music. I remember being in Penang in Malaysia in a Korean bar whilst azaan was on loudspeaker outside nearby with people going to mosque. No one judged anyone, everyone busy with their activity. It was the most beautiful experience I have ever had.

Yes to legalized cannabis. Make some fun lounges with activities. Some in the mountains too. Nature cannabis friendly resorts in the mountains wow.

No to gambling. It is a blessing you have kept this illegal.

Yes it is, it's also trying to do the right thing.

I assume you're a muslim, I assume you follow Quran and Sunnah. If so, surely you cannot advocate haram, especially when Allah has forbidden it?

I'm not going to advocate haram by telling a friend or stranger to go drink, but I am also not going to stop a guy who wants to drink.

I never understood this. How can a place, or an object, have a religion.

Is your bed a Muslim? Is your house a Muslim? Is your mobile phone a Muslim?

OP is right. Let the people do what they want as long as it doesn't harm others. Religion is a personal matter between man and God, not between man and state.

Don't worry dear, women are being shagged (raped) for free, burkha ho ya na ho, and our people can't do shit.

Problem lies in culture.

By this logic and your previous post... I can be ready to see your Mother/Father/Wife/Daughter/Son... coming home drunk or with a mate for a "good night"? after all it's btw them and God... not btw Them and Their Home...

Last A society is not your property... neither the State... To live in harmony you have to abide by the "common" culture and therefore it's restrictions... Same is happening in the West or the East...

And the Irony in all of that... is the West themselves trying to Stop that "Fun" or at least restrict it... but Wannabe Muslims and their States... are jumping in it like Honey...

Agree with the writer we need to have them to promote proper tourism and btw a lot of Muslim countries have them including where i live. I dont find anything wrong with them but unfortunately a lot of people would due to their mindset and that is what needs to be changed first

If you're comparing a family and home to a state, then you're being dumb.

The two are very, very different things and have different constructs. The state didn't pamper you when you were a kid.

Wrong analogy, try again.

As a Muslim, one is expected to be at the least offended when Allah is being disobeyed much less vouch for facilitating those acts of disobedience.

Drinking and party culture is a known moral vice in Islam. How can we think of facilitating these actions. How will these not impact a society where they are taking place!

See.. now you ego is hurt... and you selling off your shirt...
But it's indeed the same... but as long it's at a large scale it doesn't bother you... when it touch you it's ok...

It's like those guys who wish every female is naked on the street but the moment their sisters/daughter or moms do it... it become a problem...
You are the problem... put that deep in your brain...

Facilitation is to help.

I am not asking you or anyone to facilitate, I am saying simply not to block them though either.

The West is backtracking on it... but Unfortunately some brain dead Muslims seems to jump in it as honey

The Fards, Vajib behaviors and our beloved Prophet's (sav) Sunnah , only a small part consists of our duties to Allah. Much of it is about good morality, good education, healthy living, hardworking and honest trade, a harmonious social order.

Unfortunately, while Muslims today are rejecting (Takfir ) each other, or thinks they have the authority to decide who is a good Muslim and who is a bad Muslim : our educational and cultural level is threatened, we do not trade honestly, we do not live healthy, we lose our moral values and smiling face. The role of women in social life is in the background in most Islamic countries. Sexual hunger and moral collapse are institutionalized within us step by step.

So what does it matter if you don't drink, don't play lotto? We will pay the price of our sins to Allah. We pray for Allah's sake. We do not drink to gain God's approval (except for health issues) . All this must remain between God and the individual.

Those who preach Islam can tell what is right and what is wrong. We can learn from Sunnah of our beloved Prophet(sav) and follow in his footsteps by researching relevant sources.

However, there is no compulsion in our religion. To choose to walk (or not) in that path is each individual's own conscientious problem.

Our problem is not a religious problem, dear friends. The problem we have is civilization.

First we need to stand up our civilization.

You forgot to demand brothels too.

If you want brothels too you wont like the idea of strangers shagging your daughter for money.

happy and satisfied with racons raping and killing little boys and women in hijab just like your sons , brothers , daughters and sisters
