do you think israel and india can turn barak 8 to some thing like sm 3 like france do with aster?

SM-3 is much heavier missile. Barak-8 / MRSAM with booster has a range of 150 km already.

We have another programme called Extended range SAM with 250-300 km range. Based on dual solid fuel ducted ramjet propulsion similar to Meteor.

Although the Aster 30 is anti-ballistic missile capable,[17] an Aster Block 2 BMD (Ballistic Missile Defence) variant of the Aster 30 missile, with hit-to-kill technology and exo-atmospheric capability, is currently being developed.[18][19] It will have wide-area defence capable of intercepting 3000 km-range IRBM ballistic missiles[9] The speed of the missile will be increased from Mach 4.5 to Mach 7.[20] It will be developed by 2020.[21]
