Barack Obama will be Chief Guest on Republic Day Parade 26 Jan 2015

Now this news - Resonates a Strong Message across Globe.....

Guts Ughhh. My fellow Indians get so excited and wet their chadis that they cant even be bothered to type properly. If Obama farts and it sounds like the Jana Gana Mana then a hundred threads flower. Get a life. When Obama is their at Republic day write about it.

Actually it could be interesting to see how Obama will use this tactically and how the republicans react. Obama can use this as a try to deepen the ties between both countries and gain a major foreign policy success, which the Republicans surely don't want to grant him. On the other side, the republicans are seeing India as a coming market and therefor pushing themselfs for better relations since years, so they can't be against an improvement either. If there is a chance for Obama to take a win, than it would be this one and even his own party for once might stand behind him on this, since it's important for the democrats to show some good points of this term to have chances in the next elections and give Hillary a good base.
India is one of the few topics/nations that there is general bi-partisan consensus on so I doubt the Republicans would create any issues with Obama deepening ties with India.

That's the point, but it will be tough for them to swallow if Obama turns this to a major win, with their support. Anyway, it's a chance for him and even more for our PM to take the chance.

Wish Putin was chief Guts ,

:) In the current political situation internationally, it might be difficult. I didn't even saw many pics of him and the PM during the recent G20 summit (but correct me if I'm wrong), where Putin was purposly sidelined by most of the leaders.
