Its actually a song by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

Please post Raisa,Tumpa and Sunerah

Oh! I have to update my Ghajal collection then....

More of Raisa,Tumpa and Sunerah when I get a breather....:-)

There's no one 'typical' Bangladeshi woman, some are very fair, some very dark and some in-between. But all share the homogeneous ethnicity more or less.

Dark-toned girls are not in the majority when it comes to fashion modeling....

There are some darker-toned ramp models - but not many...
I'd say majority in between. Though I wouldn't say the very dark is common but, it's not rare either. Fair skin Bengalis on the other hand, going just by natural looks is hardest to find.

I have plenty of them around where I live in LA. Every one of them could give these models stiff competition :)

It's a question of wealth, class and bloodlines. Classy Bangladeshi women exist - only that they don't go to the modeling industry.

Anyways..more of Raisa,

And just a few more of Nandini...I'm sure none of you mind :-)

1395854_429806530456948_2059461765_n.jpg

with her sharp features, she looks like a tamil brahmin beauty from madras.

My personal opinion is that Nandini is kind of similar looking to our older film actress Nipun Akhter, who is going to more mature roles nowadays.

p026cd5t.jpg

i like the mature ones.

More of Nandini - and for starters, a nice smile for a change...

nice pic.

Sama Mehzabeen (Rinty) - another girl next door...but you can tell - 100% girly girl. :-)

she is quite girly.

She is a singer, songwriter, musician, dancer and a budding economist.

hmm, i can hold deep conversations with her about capitalism vs socialism... bilal, my bangladeshi list grows. :agree:

wow !!

that high hair-style suits her.

live, i have seen only one lady with that kind of hair-style and it suited her very well... her name was pavitra and i met her twice or three in a internet parlor i used to frequent... a dusky young beauty.

She did a cover for a famous Bengali number by SD Burman

"backbenchers basement session".

Shaon Priyanka and some dude named Raaz....

More of Raisa...

wow !! a nice plump waist !! :ashamed:

Yes I have met some of the Tamil Brahmin beauties myself on campus :-). Very fetching (and friendly to me as well). Some people have an idea that all people in South India are darker toned - that couldn't be further from the truth. There are some knockout gorgeous women in all of South India (Deepika P. is the latest example among many) and of course their local modeling industry (Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi, Coimbatore, Mangalore but especially the first two) some of whom we know by the Tamil channels we get locally. IMHO South Indian culture is roughly similar to that of Bangladesh (especially Tamil Nadu) - with dependence on riverways and waterways along the coast. It is well-known that Sinhala people had emigrated from our area, carrying Buddhism with them to that Island.

i like the mature ones.

Well Nipun was quite a stunner back in the day (and still is - she held on to her beauty well). She has a sixteen year old daughter and they often get mistaken as older/younger sisters....

she is quite girly.

That she is. Small town girl from Bogra who made it big in Dhaka.....the other small town girl who made it big recently is Nodi.

Yes she will be quite amenable I'm sure, with some your special chai on offer. Women like nothing better than given attention, what you discuss is rather irrelevant really....

wow!! that high hair-style suits her.

Rinty is trying to make a name in the local club circuit for live performances - live unplugged sessions are quite the rage here in Dhaka at some hangouts frequented by the younger set (and also the young-at-heart).

I like it when women wear their hair up - suits them in some types of outfits.

"backbenchers basement session".

They get pretty inventive with their names :-)

what is raaz wearing??

Some type of motorcycle protection (helps prevent injuries if you get thrown on the pavement....

wow !! a nice plump waist !! :ashamed:

Little bit of muffin-top peeking thorugh - but just the right amount. Vive la Beaute! :man_in_love:

@jamahir
What is with you and plump chicks?

C'mon man - he is our honorable bhai, cut him some slack.

Plump chicks need all the love they can get. They're women too. :-)

Jamahir bhai to the rescue :-)

Per Jamahir Bhaisaab's liking, a few shots of Nipun, the wayfarer of all younger models locally, she has graced the silverscreen for many years and entertained millions for decades. One Classy Lady !!

Nope, the only thing faties need is to lose weight

She is one classy lady :enjoy:

Yes I have met some of the Tamil Brahmin beauties myself on campus :-). Very fetching (and friendly to me as well).

aha !! :enjoy:

There are some knockout gorgeous women in all of South India (Deepika P. is the latest example among many)

aishwarya rai being another... my own object of obsession is a mangalore catholic beauty, though she is yet to agree to take me :D

and of course their local modeling industry (Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi, Coimbatore, Mangalore but especially the first two) some of whom we know by the Tamil channels we get locally.

hmm, you know quite a bit.

It is well-known that Sinhala people had emigrated from our area, carrying Buddhism with them to that Island.

interesting... i thought the sinhala people came from bihar... tell us more.

what does "nodi" mean??

and another inventive label, "deadline music". :D

Yes she will be quite amenable I'm sure, with some your special chai on offer. Women like nothing better than given attention, what you discuss is rather irrelevant really....

indeed, "give her full attention" is the key phrase.

and the discussion can be about tea itself... i learnt something in this thread ( Camelia Sinesis: Tea, chai, お茶、紅茶、粗茶, GITT ).

Rinty is trying to make a name in the local club circuit for live performances - live unplugged sessions are quite the rage here in Dhaka at some hangouts frequented by the younger set (and also the young-at-heart).

are you from the younger set or young at heart?? :D

@jamahir
What is with you and plump chicks?

they make my face hot. :azn:

they are how nature intends for the ladies.

Plump chicks need all the love they can get. They're women too. :-)

they are the even more feminine women.

Jamahir bhai to the rescue :-)

always. :agree:

oh man !! she's classy and sensual... a classic seductress type... very attractive... i am sure her husband gets jealous regularly. :D

Nope, the only thing faties need is to lose weight

much of the latest generation people ( male and female ) are so pressured by peers who in turn are brainwashed by western capitalist media. :disagree:

aishwarya rai being another... my own object of obsession is a mangalore catholic beauty, though she is yet to agree to take me :D

Well bide your time - all in good time. The longer the fight - the sweeter the prize.....

interesting... i thought the sinhala people came from bihar... tell us more.

Here is the link to genetic studies.

Genetic studies on Sinhalese - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bangladesh in ancient times (during the reign of Sen and Pala dynasties) was the mother-lode of Buddhist ecumenical universities and seats of learning, there are ruins of Buddhist Viharas, Mahaviharas and Stupas everywhere you can dig. There were very strong ties and regular travel/trade between Kingdoms based in Bengal and the Island of Sinhala.

Gangaridai - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The local civilization dates back more than 4000 years going back to the copper age (like the rest of India/Pakistan) and the large urban centers were mostly near ancient river-ports which grew via trade with the middle east as well as the rest of Asia.

and how is the daughter compared to the mother??

She's as pretty (pictures are rare, I've seen once) but she has decided not to pursue careers in entertainment. I think she's studying law in the UK.

what does "nodi" mean??

and another inventive label, "deadline music". :D

'Nodi' means river in Bengali. 'Darya' or 'Sagar' means sea (not ocean). 'Mahasagar'means ocean.

Now 'Sagar' is known as lake in your part of the world if I am not mistaken....

Yes the local smaller labels get creative with their names....

indeed, "give her full attention" is the key phrase.

and the discussion can be about tea itself... i learnt something in this thread ( Camelia Sinesis: Tea, chai, お茶、紅茶、粗茶, GITT ).

Yup if you commit to someone then they deserve your full and undivided attention. Otherwise why even commit?

are you from the younger set or young at heart?? :D

Let's just say I'm done growing my mustache and shave on a regular basis

much of the latest generation people ( male and female ) are so pressured by peers who in turn are brainwashed by western capitalist media. :disagree:

This is true. If every woman was meant to be a thin-waisted waif then every man needs to be Adonis. That is rarely the case.
