Know what is the Bengali obsession with green and coloured eyes, they are quite common amongst Pakistani beauties yet I have NEVER EVER met a Bengali with natural green or coloured eyes, have met plenty with coloured contacts, could somebody please offer an explanation as I am deeply puzzled.

This woman (Tisha) is probably the most photographed and one of the top tier models here in Bangladesh right now. Although not part of the absolutely new crop of models (like for example Brishty).

Light Eye Color depends on different gene-haplotype than dark eye color.

Yes they are quite common in Pakistan for some reason and less common in Bangladesh. But they do exist.

Women like to wear different color contacts as a fashion preference these days. Nothing more.

In my opinion light-colored eyes are not considered any more or less special than dark-colored ones.

I know some people in the subcontinent are obsessed with light-toned skin color and eye-color.

don't know about green eyes but I've got family members who have grey eyes. coloured eyes however are not common.

Not common, but they do exist. Light skin and colored eyes are almost non-existent among the poor class that form the majority of BD's people.
Most immigrants are from this class. Frankly I have never seen a beautiful BD girl in Canada. Not even the average looking.
