Bangladesh to hand over jailed ULFA leader to India

But it seems BD people over here are as bad as I always learned about them!!

We're bad because we value human rights? Once BAL's gone, we'll grant Chetia political asylum and make sure he can live a happy life with the rest of his family, just like you or any other non Assamese Indian. :)

Will you say same if we give refuge to a 'freedom fighter' from bangladesh in India( who wants his area to be separated from bangladesh)

Yes I will. I sympathize with people fleeing persecution. Just wait till Santu Larma comes running towards the border in not more than a few years. If he makes it to the other side, in good health, I won't whine to get him back. :D (but he won't make it!)

Why are Indians thanking Bangladesh for this lol ? Does it really make a difference if this traitor dies in an Indian jail or a Bangladeshi jail?

You know...I feel that the way Indian GOV treated a terrorist like Kasab in Indian jail....Anup Chetia may be excited and he might have told himself to go to Indian jail....At least he can eat good Chicken Biriyani in Tihar jail rather struggling with Beef or any other meat Biriyani in BD...

Just kidding guys....donot take the word of BD politician seriously.....Even if ANup chetia is handed over...nothing is going to work out as long as Paresh Barua is still at large....He is the king fish in the pond....

Right.why indians thankin BD's instead they should Pat Rawami................

1.India has been pressing for this for long. BD constitution, born out of the liberation war, states that we support all freedom struggle. Chetia is a great leader and a freedom-fighter. BD and Assam/NE are strategic allies as both face the same source of intimidation, harassment, pressure aiming at subjugating all of us. BAL's betrayal of the NE freedom-fighters is far worse than Benazir - Aitezaz Husain's betrayal of the Sikhs.

2. This talk of BD prisoners in India is all bakwas. Except people like pick-pockets turned political goons, we have none. And they all belong to BAL!!

But the problem is a tiny minority in BD is having these kind of views, is it because of Hatred towards India??

It is because their parents failed to board the boat that left Bangladesh in 1971. :D

We had enough fun with the Rawamis. Time for BNP to come to power so we can make them our b*tches next.

Fair enough, then the leaders should be given asylum not secretly hidden somewhere in bangladesh. Take a political stand (like India has taken about tibet) and stick to it. Your govt (BNP or AL) seem to lack courage in doing that.
Or may be they really dont support the humanitarian view you described above, in which case they should handover the leaders.
