And for Bangladesh, you have taken UN 2017 data, which shows lowest value for Bangladesh. I guess, you done a lot of searching to find lowest figure for Bangladesh.

If you have stick to IMF 2018 for both country, then it would be-

No doubt average Hong Kong residents are far richer than an average Bangladeshi. But this gap in not what nominal GDP is showing here. We have to keep in mind that, Hong Kong is one of costliest place to live in the world. While Bangladesh is one of the cheapest. So, 1745 dollar in Bangladesh goes much further than 1745 dollar in Hong Kong. That's why ppp per capita is important to measure the living standard.
