The two countries have signed seven bilateral documents together
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between
India and Bangladesh, allowing the former to withdraw 1.82 cubic feet per second (cusec) of water from Feni River.
The agreement was signed between the Ministry of Water Resources of Bangladesh and Ministry of Jal Shakti , India, in New Delhi on Saturday.
The purpose of this accord is to provide a supply of drinking water to the Sabroom Town of Tripura.
The two countries have signed seven bilateral documents, to take the relations between the two countries to the next trajectory.
Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina and her counterpart Narendra Modi witnessed the signing and exchange of the documents. Six of them are new, while another is a renewal. Hasina and Modi also jointly inaugurated three bilateral development projects.
Earlier in the day, the two leaders held
extensive talks - along with a one-on-one conversation - at Hyderabad House in New Delhi, India.
