What India does with water is beyond our control. But, whatever water we get from the 50+ rivers goes straight to the BoB during the dry season also. We are unable to systemize its use for agriculture and spend millions of dollars to pump up underground water.
Why should it be like this when we shout of the shortage of water? By the way, a 1.82 cubic feet per second of water is only (1.82 ft x 1.0 ft x 1.0 ft) per second. In comparison, the Teesta flow was 5,000 cusec last dry season (usually it is 1,000 cusec though).
The generosity level of BD population should not be that low. Why are you guys creating tempest in a tiny teacup that can contain only 1.82 cft of water?
You didn't get the point, did you? How many times the whore of India tried to solve Teesta issue and failed? She gave everything India demanded and how much we got in return? Almost nothing. Why should we give them the water they want when they can't do the same? We gave them transit in cheap price, 2.8 million taka only in three years. They use our ports. They made us use their defense credit, when we were not even interested. Our people die in border for smuggling but their people safely return in their home after getting caught. When our export to India increases they use tariffs. I mean every shit goes in India's favor. If you still think it's ok to give this POS few amount water when they don't do the same then i guess your skin has become thick as Rhinos.
