I would not feel 'comfortable' with they way commies 'conduct' elections!

There was no opposition after a decade...imagine the last 2 decades!

Yes it wasn't comfortable...but the grass-root strength of cadres.....was too much to comprehend!
Everything revolved around the "party"
The cadres had more arms and ammo than law enforcement.

But still there is no comparison with Bangladesh.
I just don't get the concept of unilateral "democracy" where the "opposition" doesn't even attend the parliament. This was never the case in WB.

That is what i think too..... It seems chief of Army staff is very cautious and doesn't want to make mistakes... But if he loves Bangladesh, He will surely come to the rescue...

Exactly man, no matter what others say, I've full faith on Army, something will happen after the elections for sure.

Well, the government is legitimate per the constitution (through whatever means it's been changed). However, the government will lose its legitimacy after the elections since they have just abolished the voting rights of majority of the voters. So technically, if anyone has to oppose the government, he will have to wait till the elections, Army is just following this regulation.

Same rule and president Awami League used should applied on them. That will be good enough. But for army they way they behaved and behaving who would be interested to talk on be half of them? These generals (or few good of them) do not get it when they go against people wish to assist Awami League for a farcical election.

Agreed, but at gun point it gets halt periodically then re-emerges with extra vigor then again more violent gun puts it into silent and so on and so forth. My observation indicates that violent gun can silence vigorous but unarmed ideologists. So balancing against armed goons (Police League, BGB League, RAB League etc.) isn't the need of the hour?
