Nice thread hijacking troll post - reported.

Yeah we all drive around in bicycles wearing lungis. Did it escape your attention that Bangladesh per capita GDP is higher than yours in Pakistan? Do the math... :-)

The real story is high tax, much higher than either Pakistan or India. Import VAT is 15%, 25% import duty on 1.5L engine and 100% import duty fee up to 2 Litre size, then 200% and beyond depending on size of engine. Bangladeshis typically don't drive Suzuki Mehran size vehicles...minimum Corolla size.
LOL

.
I think that is more because of the fact that Bangladeshis can't afford new Cars.
Average Bangladeshis r far richer than average Pakistanis.

If car prices in Bangladesh were same as the car prices in India or other Asian countries most middle class families in Bangladesh would've had at least two personal cars.

But Our govt has imposed high tariff on imported cars to discourage people from purchasing it. Then again I don't expect someone from a country whose literacy rate is dwindling around 50% to know these facts.

Motor vehicles (per 1,000 people) in Bangladesh was reported at 3 in 2009

Suppa pawwa richie rich bangladeshis.

Well if that was true then how could we perfectly count your dead bodies after Operation Searchlight ? :pakistan:

GDP of a country can't be indicator of its citizens being rich. As "2 percent" of individuals own 98% of the wealth in South Asia.
While this claim of urs is somewhat legitimate but the conclusion u have derived from it is absolutely ridiculous.

Many organizations make list of ultra rich people in each countries and if u look at these carefully u'll see very few Bangladeshi businesses people or politicians appear on these lists.

We don't have Ambanis or billas in our country. Hence our gdp per capita is reflective of the lifestyle and income of our average people.

This gets more evident if we look at the average literacy rate, mortality rate, child mortality rate, girl education and many other things. Fact is average Bangladeshis have money to look after the education of their girls, buy medicine for themselves as well as for their children and so many other things. Sadly, average income of Pakistanis is low, hence they can't afford to get these facilities.

Investing in renewables is the way to go. Pakistan also needs to boot out these crappy motorcycle/motorcycle rickshaw manufacturers (i'm looking at you Honda/Ravi etc) which have single handedly destroyed every aspect of the environment (sound, air). They have no regards to traffic laws whatsoever. Driving is a privelege; not a right. Buses and public transport should be built up to accomodate the huge flow of people in and out of the cities.

Your statement is truer when that country is located in South Asia.

When debate is lost slander becomes the tool of the loser. U r perfect example of it.

But I m not getting angry at u at all. As a matter of fact I m feeling pity for u my friend. I know ur tiny brain is finding it difficult to analyse these complex stuffs such as reasons behind high tariff rate on imported luxury goods in BD.

But make no mistake my friend, average Pakistanis as well as Pakistan as a country is poor compared to BD and economically its going down the gutter with every single year which gets more evident when it's prime minister is regularly seen running from door to door with a begging bowl :enjoy:

Perhaps but BD GDP is still higher than PK and oncourse for our economy to overtake yours in absolute terms in a couple of years. our life expectancy is still higher than PK and child mortality lower.

In every possible social measure BD is quietly leaving you behind, there is not a lot you can do. Being relevant if that means being like PK then best of luck to you.

Unfortunately most pollution in Pakistan is caused by Indian states such as indian Punjab, haryana, etc.

Having said that, it should not be an excuse for politicians of Pakistan, and they should strictly enforce environment protection laws and also increase forest areas.

Four cities of Pakistan have been named as the most polluted cities in the world, with two of the metropolises among the top 10.

In a recent report compiled by IQAir AirVisual’s 2018 World Air Quality Report, in collaboration with Greenpeace Southeast Asia, a total of 3,095 cities have been ranked from the most to least polluted cities in the world. Four cities of Pakistan have made it to the list.

Faisalabad has been listed as the third most polluted city in the world, with an average air quality index of 130.4, while Lahore stands at 10th rank with AVG of 114.9. Ranked at 239, Islamabad is more polluted compared to Karachi, with AVG of 38.6. The port city is ranked at 320 with AVG of 33.7.

Indian city Gurugram, which is a suburb of its capital New Delhi, is the world’s most polluted city, with an AVG of 135.8. Interestingly, 18 of the top most polluted countries is mostly dominated by India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

According to the report, air pollution will cause around seven million premature deaths globally next year and have a major economic impact.

i don't expect anything less from these south asian savages, bengalis... indians, pakis... all will cry victim in climate chage forum and yet do very little to keep themselves clean...

.
India gets most of its primary energy from coal... the dirtiest fossil fuel. Pakistan gets most of primary energy from natural gas, the cleanest fossil fuel. I would think India has far more air pollution.

Bangladesh produces less then half the electricity and primary energy Pakistan does.....I doubt it has a larger GDP (sounds like fake news).

I am wondering why such an esteemed nation you hail from always seem to be attracting the following headlines ,

You can certainly argue that such a relevant nation should be given money, but I doubt that will fly well with the donors.

Alternatively you can try to get a loan from PM Hasina , she is sitting on about $32 billion reserve !
