Myanmar Military is playing psychological warfare by placing troops and pulling out troops to stop Rohingya thinking of going back to Myanmar.
Issue here Bangladeshi diplomacy failed. Military show off is an option but Bangladesh Military won't do it. Counting artilleries won't work. You can't win modern warfare without Air Power, Air defence and coordinated three-dimensional war. Bangladesh military doesn't have long range missile & rockets that can strike deep inside Myanmar. BAF can't strike deep inside Myanmar either.
Everyone missing the point, Focus is how we can win this psychological warfare.

I really think this is failure of Bangladeshi policy on multiple fronts.

It's really humiliating if you sit and think about it.

No amount of chest beating on this forum or saying wait till 2030 will change the facts.

Forces Goal 2030 is gonna make BD super power. Don't believe me? Ask Ukbengali.

No-one is saying wait till 2030 to deal with Barmans.
2-3 squadrons of 4+ generation fighters for BAF and the Barmans are toast. BD army and Navy are far superior to that rag-tag outfit next door.

BNP has the most to blame for the state of the BD military now. They not only sabotaged the military buildup that Awami League had planned in 1996-2001 period of government(cancel order for 8 extra Mig-29s/16 more as option and decommissioned the advanced for it's time Ulsan class frigate), but managed to not add a single MW of power to the grid during the 2002-2007 period when they were in office.

When AL came into power they had little choice but to spend BD's precious resources on rental power plants to keep the economy going. Defence had to take a back seat and the Navy was rightly prioritised. Now with a healthy economy(7%+ GDP growth) and the promised Chinese 20+ billion US dollar low-interest soft loans materialising, expect multi-billion dollar deals for squadron after squadron of 4+ generation fighters for BAF this year and or the next.

I would have liked a tougher response from BD government but with the state of BAF and the lack of medium range air-defences, BD was vulnerable to major economic damage in the event of war with the Barman entity.

Would agree with everything you say apart from "Dhaka seems like a much cleaner city than Mumbai and Chittagong can beat the $h1t out of Bangalore any given day".

Mumbai is far superior to Dhaka in terms of transport infrastructure and Bangalore has better infrastructure than Chittagong as well. However the gap will close over the next decade as there is more scope for catch-up in BD compared to India. I also expect at least Chittagong to become as clean as Bangalore as well.
If you consider his posting history here then it is obviously sarcasm.

Do not please photoshop all the time and no rendering please. We have already seen scores of Burmese troops wearing sandals. we have also seen your rusty naval ships and obsolete old style artillery pieces.
By judging the picture posted by @shourov323 and @Aung Zaya, we can conclude that, only the officers and elite/special forces of burma army can afford to wear boots.Rest of the soldiers have to make by with just sandals.

Is that final word?
After fighting for many years with rebels,Myanmar Army has very Good Experience in hands when it cimes to fighting a battle. What Makes you think They won't be able to move any assets?Do they have no logistics in Area?Or No Border infrastructure necessary for Battle?

Please open up a good quality terrain map of the area and take a look.

Too many false-flaggers in this forum. I asked the mods when I first joined, even they know....:-)

Don't look at flags, looks at what and how they write.

Very few Pakistanis have any reason to be anti-Bangladeshi. They might not care, but they won't be rabidly anti-Bangladeshi like some of these false-flaggers are. False-flagging is a typical shameless Sanghi trait.

If you see anyone bad-mouthing Bangladesh or Bangladeshis, for sure they are Sanghi chumcheekas, no matter what the flag is....

Look Forces Goal 2030 is a wishlist, not even a shopping list. Forces Goal 2030 is not defence doctrine neither a military policy. It is a whitewash by the Military elite to convince people we are doing good. Although the ground reality is Bangladesh military is in backfoot.

I do not discount the fact AL government made progress in the economic sector and defence sector as well. However, both economic and defence sectors are dynamic. The progress in Bangladeshi defence sector is pretty slow, and regional militaries are ramping up the progress. Bangladesh cannot keep up due to the geopolitical environment and incompetent military officers. Bangladesh military has many commercial interests at home not to mention UN peacekeeping police aboard.

Regional military such as Malaysia with similar budgetary allocation made many signs of progress in the defence sector. The brains of Bangladesh military leadership stuck at UN peacekeeping and commercial interest that they cannot get out of it. Last I heard Bangladesh Army wants to operate a taxi company in Dhaka. This is unthinkable to me that a military organisation wants to operate taxi services.

None of the members here in the defence forum cannot comprehend how much incompetent those military officers are?

@Bilal9 bhai, exactly, but if someone doubt them ( anyone in this forum ) as false flagger , then some original sanghi ( under Indian flag) come to defend them by trying to perform gang attack :D.
They take it personally, although nothing is indicated to them ( keyboard warrior sanghis).

Lol, I hardly posts on Bangladesh related topics, unless it has something to do with Pakistan. I don't know where did all you guys found sarcasm from. I have repeatedly said in other threads also, for us Pakistanis, it doesn't actually matters if Bangladesh goes downwards or if goes upwards. Most Pakistanis will want Bangladesh to progress because it is another Muslim nation in the world. But you and other similar members can keep your heads buried in 71.
