Bangladesh man held over ‘doctored’ Facebook photos of PM

Your article says production, preservation, transportation and marketing of pornographic material is illegal.

The man simply modified a picture of a half-naked woman on his FB page. It was a stupid thing to do on his part though.

He did not modified the picture but included prime minister`s picture into that without her consent. That falls completely within the following definition.

According to the law, if a person tries to blackmail anyone or damages anyone's social or individual reputation through pornography, the offender will be sentenced to maximum five years' rigorous imprisonment and fined Tk 200,000.

There is difference between producing cartoon and nude photograph to damage any one`s reputation.

The man should have been decorated because the body of another woman probably made the old *** look better.

You are joking, right ?

I thought Hasina's reputation was already shot by being India's LACKEY.

There is nothing left to damage further.

Funny to see the usual islamists now supporting pornography.

Yes this sort of comment can be expected from a Pakistani whose ex president can do such a great thing in public.

This is not about any one`s political reputation but personal reputation. No civilized country can allow such thing.

Lol Bangladesh is North Korea 2.0 (Replace Kim Jong with Hasina)..wasn't there a thread few months about a guy who posted something about PM on facebook and was arrested? My question is: How Bangladeshi authorities can easily track these people ?I mean we have thousands of funny pictures of Musharraf or Benazir or Zardari on the net and on this site too now if GOP wanted to trace people who created these pictures it wouldn't be easy.
Oh Here it is: Bangladesh student faces sedition charges over Facebook post

This is the question which I intended to ask from from Bangladeshies....?..... Further , Do they exactly believe that any such effort by a single person will seriously disparge the prestige of PM?

LOL Man you have Pakistan Phobia.Give it a rest - By the time you die i believe BSF would have killed more Bangladeshis then Pakistanis ever did.Anyways By your definition most of the western countries would become uncivilized.

The most serious problem with Bangladesh, at the moment, is BAL, as the contents of this thread shows once again. It's Bangladeshis who should be faulted for putting up with BAL, as can be seen by thousands of people gathering at BAL meetings. No matter whether BAL's support plunges to 10% or 2% of Bangladeshi electorate, so long as huge numbers of suspect Bangladeshis support BAL, and nobody takes any meaningful action to eradicate BAL, Bangladeshis deserve everything they get as a nation.

BAL has turned the country into a vessel state and now a joke in front of the world.

Who in their right mind would pursue such BS. Digital Bangladesh has a price the dalal of the century is slowly realising.
