Indeed, Bangladeshi mercenaries were deployed in ancient Roman empire. During his invasion to South Asia, Alexander's army revolted and forced him to retreat realizing the military capabilities of Bangladesh.

@ @extra terrestrial you don not know that most of the war ships of Roman Empire were made in Chittagong Port and the woods used to come from Kamruk (Assam). Still, we are building ships soon we will surpass India and Pakistan in this aspects.

True, we have a quite old shipbuilding heritage. Chittagong had been a global shipbuilding hub since the 3rd century BC.

I think Pakistan has already started buying ships from Bangladesh.
