Bangladesh heading for fastest economic growth in FY17

Independent BD is showing what is possible when you have a unitary state that is in control of it's own destiny.
This 7% GDP growth rate is not as high as what BD can achieve as I expect 8-9% sustained GDP growth for at least the next decade.

...only thing matter who is growing faster among major big economies (top 15 big economies...Bangladesh does not qualify as big economy
Matter to whom? Bangladesh growing faster matter to the 170 million people who reside within it and another 10 million who are residing in other countries but left their heart in BD.This is enough to us.And you should not worry about top 15.A day will come when we will be in that top 15.It may occur within the next 50 years.

you guys are doing great....I was just answering to guys who are comparing Bangladesh and India..

I like the frustration of idune, Banglar bir, M Saint....

The people who tries to lebel country's achievements as scams and start blaming govt and other countries to fit their political agenda should be thrown out of the country and never allowed back. Although most of then live in countries like USA and UK not in Bangladesh. So I guess they are not allowed in Bangladesh anyway. Its damn ironic that they want to Islamize the country with their extremist form of Islam while they themselves live in haraam infidel countries looking at bikini wearing women in the beach:lol:
Do U even realize that traitors at the helm don't bring achievement but disgrace for the country? If not then check out whether Lendup Darji, Cahlabi, Mir Jafar, Jagat Seth's attributes are similar to the current Dalals of BD or not. And rest of UR gibberish doesn’t even warrant my response, Bye.

I am enjoying their frustration. These guys are too eager to undo BD.
East Sucker Watch of the past used to enjoy popping near at Howrah Station while dreaming on Bodna then ran towards Dam Dam AP for a metaphoric one but alas entire shyte-hole was Bodna less for pop to dry up thus stayed smelly even in JP.

Lets wait for the 100 SEZ and 20 high tech park kicks in. All the nay sayers will run away from pdf with severe heart burn.
Its time for another base year update from 2005 to 2015.

there are so many countries who are clocking higher economy growth rate than India....only thing matter who is growing faster among major big economies (top 15 big economies)...Bangladesh does not qualify as big economy
200 billions are considered major big economies.

Living standard is far better in Pakistan, no doubt, but not in India where even the educated class still today smoke BIDI and drink a 2 Rupee tea.

Usually in 3rd world per capita income is higher than per capita GDP. But in India its just the opposite. The reason people smoke bidi and drink poison to suicide.

We created Bangladesh by fighting our glorious war of liberation in 1971, you all were probably not even embedded in your biological mother's womb during those times. Grow up kids,it's high time. Residing in Japan and enjoying western culture, and towing political affiliation, turns you a into partisan parasite.

Instead, reflect the needs of the common masses, their aspirations along with their deprivation inflicted upon them by our so claimed elite class. Those were the objectives that inspired us to take up arms in 1971, economic emancipation for the downtrodden, social equality, equi distribution of resources and wealth, etc, not for accumulation of wealth and power in the hands of a few corrupt individuals, learn to call spade a spade.

Is it made up in buses? Nope. Steel? Nope. Energy? Nope. Nothing....zilch.
Yes, there is nothing such and such in BD. But, it is not also BIDI and two taka chae as it is in India. People here have more earning to spend, and they live a more comfortable and peaceful life. Our farmers do not commit suicide to run away from the no-God fearing loan sharks as they do in India.

"But a huge study of suicides in India published last July in the UK medical journal, the Lancet, found these figures under-report the problem and suggests there were 19,000 suicides in 2010".

Any country that does so terribly in both when it comes to the govt and institution rating...and worse is stagnant or declining in critical measures of those....means pretty much anything outside of economic data (which has oversight from WB and IMF that BD members here run away from discussing: https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/bangladesh-economy-news-updates.10487/page-135#post-9481027) and census demographics are circumspect and dubious at best.

Least Developed Country. Nuff' said.

Actual direct data of say consumption of basic items like food, cement, steel, energy (which are the fundamental building blocks of any society progress today), plus the average consumption basket spread of a household tells anyone all they need to know about BD.....because BBS cannot fake those without cascading errors in several internationally tracked matrices.

But in the end you BD people can delude yourself as much as you want....while the world sees the reality of what Dhaka is like (in say the liveability index) or that Dhaka stock exchange market cap is like 50 billion USD whereas Bombay's is approaching 2 trillion....and make that funny argument that it has 0 effect on common person....without having read up on economics 101 in the first place.

I asked proof of your previous claims. Not your conclusion... :disagree:
