In the wake of adverse global economic situation, the government has further cut its spending from the national budget for the current fiscal year (FY).
The finance division in a notification issued on Wednesday stated that the spending on some cases will remain totally suspended and it will be lowered on some other areas.
According to the notification, spending on land acquisition under the operating budget will remain totally suspended.
Also, no more fresh notification of award (NoA) will be issued under the 'building and establishment' sector while not more than half of the funds allocated in the budget can be spent for NoAs already issued.
Moreover, spending will remain totally suspended in case of procurement of computers, furniture, and other instruments, the notification added.
It also noted that funds allocated for these purposes cannot be transferred to other sectors or no fund can be transferred to these sectors from other sectors.
As the Russia-Ukraine war in late February has led to global economic crises, the government's earnings from home and abroad fell significantly, forcing it to cut spending, including suspension of implementation of a large number of projects.
Earlier, the government has suspended foreign tours of its employees and restricted imports of gas and oil for power generation, among others, to mitigate the pressure on dwindling foreign currency reserves.

But, why a sudden decision to stop land acquisition? Is it not the main source of corruption money of Hasina and her colleagues? They have earned billions of dollars worth of money from this sector. Pay the land owner Tk100 and force them to write receiving Tk1000 BD style.

No wonder, BD has become the model of national development under the unelected BAL party.

I am now worried about Hasina's mental and physical health. Her health will worsen without corruption money which is earned really by our women workforce in the garments and expatriates in the ME.

Why sudden change of your so valuable opinion? Why do not you ask Hasina and her colleagues to vomit up the money they stole so far in this sector and finance a few land-purchasing scheme?

With this kind of scheme, BD will certainly rise above Japan.

Japan developed its industries continuously since the 1860s, govt collected income taxes from employed individuals and companies. It used this money to build infrastructure.

But, the BAL government borrows money to build infrastructures and does stealing in the process.

In its entire existence, Japan borrowed only $500 million when it was building the Tokyo- Osaka Tomei Expressway in 1968. It repaid this money long before the due date. Japan and the Japanese are very proud people unlike us whose govt keeps on borrowing money only to steal from it.

And you guys propagate BD is almost near Japan/ Singapore when the govt follows a lopsided policy.

I'm sure you would agree with every news that published in news portals related to failure of COVID-19 management by your Govt if only empress assured it. Sadly she reminded silent.

If she would not remain silent, she wouldn't have to face such days.

However if Hasina still neutralize her sycophants like you guys ( online and offline) , she will have an honorable exit in future , that bitter person like me still sincerely want!

But sycophants are here and in real world are to destroy the reputation of Hasina!

If only Hasina tightened the budget long ago without wasting money on many cases , ( she might not know about all wrong doing , but she trusted her sycophants a lot; unfortunately although she is more practical than BB , still she has the bad quality of BB that they both are very fan of sycophancy) , I'm sure her throne wouldn't be in danger ; that still you guys pretend to ignore!

Seriously she needs to neutralize her sycophants as soon as possible, she can still save her good image!
