These are probably melon and strawberry smoothies (green and red respectively). The lemonade is also good.

One of the Casual Tea Places for Dhaka left-wingers to chill in, 'Tea Stall' in Banani... the place is reminiscent of the 'Coffee House' culture in Kolkata. Dhaka's version of course is a bit more updated and cozier...but the spirit of Bengali 'adda' is no less intense

Recently there has been a spread of 'theme' restuarants in the Dhaka foodie scene, latest entrant is the brutally honestly named 'Crise Cardiac Grill', whose artery clogging goodies are good for, well ... no good

The wheelchair seating and the crockery speak for themselves...

Skyroom, the grand daddy of the rooftop restaurants in Dhaka from the early nineties, still exists at ABC tower and still serves Indonesian specialties. Nostalgic memories. Decor is a bit overstated now. More in the coming days.

The makeshift shops near Rifles Square (Tekiya first location)...
