The interest is because BD is key to India maintaining control over the Indian NE. BD has to provide India the military logistics route to supply the IA in NE. If BD does not do this IA loses the NE. India can achieve this if BD joins quad.

Therefore Chinese success in capturing Arunachal Pradesh depends on BD not providing the logistics routes to IA during war. Hence Chinese diplomatic warning and push so that BD does not join Quad.

Therefore BD neutrality is direct threat to Indian national security and territorial integrity.

US is just acting on India's wish here . USA itself has no political design on BD.

Not actually ranting, I try to send good ideas that you guys probably misunderstand. Some of you guys think our country should not be criticized but I think constructive criticism by its own people is a recipe that may or may not open the eyes of the politicians and bureaucrats but it is needed.

You can see your very low level when you suddenly refer to hentai or what that I am not really familiar with but many BD posters are. Being quite a poor person (no less than a beggar) and less than even half-educated, I have jobs to do to eat twice a day in a foreign land and HENTAI is not part of my life.

I live abroad, and as I am unable to contribute to my country's welfare, I try to contribute as much as possible through this Forum. I am sorry to displease many of you.

Please be compassionate and do not come to a conclusion about me because I criticize the govt. However, you guys adore the govt top people that they do not really deserve, and I am criticized only because I find their faults that the country is not seriously industrialized and is limping.

So, please ask the govt to industrialize gradually on the scale of millions of mills, factories, and workshops. When wealth is created in the industries and millions of people have jobs there, additional money will be available to build more industries and infrastructures.

This is how China is developing in front of your own eyes. Now, we should work maximum on industries and minimum on prestigious projects which are not needed. Sorry, you will be then unable to take many pictures, click--- click.

During his visit to the F-16 plant, the BAF chief requested Lockheed Martin to come up with a tailor made Block-73 (proposed NATO reporting name: Blue Vipers) for BAF.

F-18 is an extremely expensive bird to fly, the most expensive non-stealth coated plane. Though a big selling point is 9000 hours air frame — few times longer than East bloc planes (though India is still flying MIGs that are 20 times over their airframe life now)

There are pluses and minuses in that equation.

A US Base would make Bangladesh a far more staunch ally of the US (a la S. Korea and Japan). I don't know if Bangladesh wants to get that deep into the water with the US.

Getting armament is one thing - but a base is a different level of game play altogether. Kinda like Thailand.

And honestly the US would not want boots on the ground here.

You are right. Two engines mean a lot of fuel use.

But Myanmar won't even come near us if we have F-18's of any type. Even if they have Su-30's or 35's.
