Well that was Racist. But I think the intent was to be crude and bully the obvious foreign looking mild kids by frustrated taxi/Auto walas.

I have never seen Kanadigas display racism. In fact there is a HUGE Tibetan settlement near bangalore and there are a LOT of Northeastersn in Bangalore. Probably because of the climate and mild mannered locals.

Just some local thugs trying to shake down a non-local (easy mark they would have figured)for money for booze I would guess. This not an organised group. Out of a population of some 10 million, there are bound to be some thugs. Unlike some other states, there is no organised group acting against non-locals.

Very true. I have never faced any issue, inspite of my poor Kannada. Once I spoke (IMO) fluent Kannada to a bus conductor. He smiled and said - 'Theek hain, koi baat nahin...aap hindi mein boliye'. God that was embarassing.

there was a dictator aurangzeb. Our society is different, it never worked in india and never will.

Frazer town and surrounding localities has mostly urdu speakers,then Tamils,Malayalis,if i am not wrong...

Mainly Tamil and Hindi is spoken , Mallus are there too.
