one thing i would like to say that the most friendly state in india is karnataka (kannadigas). i am saying this because i am an outsider residing in karnataka for past 4 years. This kind of incidents project karnataka in bad light.

It was a drunken brawl which the media presented as a case of racism. The manipuri guy had used cuss words in English, F words. So they beat him up over that asking him to speak in Kannada.

But this was totally unexpected from Kannada folks. They are usually very calm and welcoming. It is more of a Delhi trait.

It was a brawl and not a racist attack.
