As Pakistan struck by multiple terror attacks in non restive region Baluchistan it's look like anti Pakistan forces now shifting battleground from fata to more unsecured province and soft target Baluchistan.

Baluchistan a land with no law highly underprivileged and improvished province of Pakistan affected by Bloch separatist insurgency as well as sectarian violence not just years but decades.

If India make Pakistan bleed it's a best option for such unrest to destabilize Pakistan. Its the largest area wise province of Pakistan rich with natural resources.

Unfortunately for people of Pakistan and fortunately for enemies of Pakistan it's least important and less protected area.

It's has joint borders with two countries Iran and Afghanistan still instead of better security and more military presence in this province an alternative approach is adopted by Pakistan to wo Iran and have Taliban's installed in Afghanistan this policy even miserably failed still in use.

How come a country facing insurgency in his largest province protecting by keeping it's neighbor happy even though it's a naked fact that raw has operational base in Iran and NDS has working relationship with raw in Afghanistan. The most stupid argument you hear for authority we have issue or border dispute in this region and Pakistani need to have good relations with neighbors to keep it cold so we don't have stretch our military resources from east.
What kind of foolish policy is this no country can keep it's border safe by having friendly relations with neighbors in the area which is affected with insurgency!!!.

It's Pakistan defense policy makers fault if Baluchistan is not safe and prone to insurgency.Who stopped Pakistan from deploying maximum resources in this area if you have no resources why you have not created more resources for Baluchistan since 1947.

India facing insurgency in occupied Kashmir has deployed 600000 troops to protect the land just compare area of Kashmir with Baluchistan why no such policy was adopted for Baluchistan.

It's about time for Pakistan to stop looking towards its neighbors to protect people of Baluchistan and make powerful defense strategy to defend it not only from insurgency but also from terrorism.you don't need special security force to defend cpec if you have better security in Baluchistan.its deserve better treatment equality in terms of security after 70 years.

Thread is open for good and meaningful discussion and happy eid to all.

Majority of Baluchistan has been secured there are only two cities which need focus now. Quetta and Gawader

I am sure people who are involved and in knowledge of the ground realities are hard at work doing just whats needed to protect our borders. Second judges are usually not too familiar with the reality as some of the information never goes public for national security's sake.

A full scale military ops should be started in the province because things get worse.

.
Baluchistan was always the target from long time.
International forces are working in tandem to hurt and dismember Pakistan.
India is openly hosting Brahamdagh, while foreign office is unmoved.
Does any one ever wonder, which passport Brahamdagh was carrying when he was flying out of Tehran?
Pakistan lost big time, during Zardari's rule.

It seems, some unknown helis were delivering stock piles of weapons, all over Baluchistan during Zardari rule.

Here comes they question why it was tolerated either issuing on visas to CIA or weapons delivery? Who should take blame and give answers for this blunder ex chiefs kayani or pasha are responsible for many unnecessary events in pakistan

can't say what holds in Future but one thing for Sure, This time the Baluch people will be in front line to fight those who wants to create mischief in land .. they have learned that who is taking support from whom and killing their fellow countrymen

Pardon my ignorance, but why is Pak not interested in developing this region when it is so rich in minerals and natural resources? Security issues?

.
Pakistan have to secure its western borders which we neglecting from past 70 for the sake of national security. We have to cut the hands who help terrorists from Afghan caves and consulates, we have to be aggressive as well, create trouble in east so they have less resources at their disposal.

To find a solution for all the problems we need to break the issues down. So what are the issues that Balochistan and the people are facing.

1. Sardari System
2. Sectarian conflicts
3. Ethnic Tensions
4. Poor economic conditions
5. Poor social and weak welfare situation.

1. Sardari System

Not all of Balochistan has Sardari system, most of the areas that have Sardari system are in Eastern, Central and lower central areas. So the big question rises here, How do you end the sardari system? especially when you have Jagirdari System in southern Punjab and Waddera system in Sindh? How severe would be the blow back of ending the sardari system? What to do with the Sardars and their families and people that would remain loyal to them?

2. Sectarian Conflict

Sectarian issues are pretty rife in Balochistan but they are mainly occurring in Hazara areas. Its a common knowledge that the snake of sectarianism was nurtured during the Zia era. Zia promoted extreme islamic sects as a way to get grip on power in Pakistan and also created "The Mujahideen" to tackle the soviets in Afghanistan. Both Pakistan and Afghanistan are still reeling from Zia's actions. So how do we reverse the issues of sectarianism? Who are these extreme elements and how do we eliminate them from Pakistan? What would be the blow-back of banning these groups.
Pakistan is still a majority Hanafi country that are the most lenient/tolerant of all Sunni sects.

3. Ethnic Tensions

Ethnic makeup of Balochistan is quiet vast, We have the Balochs, Pukhtoons, Makranis, Hazara and Brahui people there. But of all the ethnic groups, Hazaras have been the biggest target. This is also coupled with Hazaras being Shias. So the question how do we eliminate ethnic tensions?

4. Poor Economic Conditions & 5. Poor social and weak welfare situation

Alot of people say that Balochistan is poor because the Sardars take all the money, but what about the poor conditions in non-Sardar areas? What about the issues of non availability of water for irrigation? especially when every year there are floods occurring in the rest of the country. How do we improve the social and welfare situation of the people there. Alot of the economic and social vows will reduce once the issues 1, 2 and 3 are tackled but concrete steps will need to be taken simultaneously to ensure lasting peace and prosperity.

@DESERT FIGHTER @haviZsultan @Baloch Pakistani would like to get your views and if possible some solutions.

Geography and cost of development ; not to mention the feudal system.

The area is short of water / desert / mountain terrain, which makes long term population support a very costly affair.
Area is held by Feudal lords, that want the government ( successfully) to hand the money to them; while they are running medieval style governments.

Guys there's too many systems within a system in Pakistan. Ex sardari system, panchayt system and so many other systems. Our country cannot function properly due to this.

Thanks for the information. You reply suggests that there is limited hope for the province in the near-term.
