What's new

Baloch tribals fighting against BLA terrorists. Urdu.

Ok. Here goes:

About us : About us - Balochwarna News

And this from the Asian Human Rights Commission.....

Balochvoice - Baloch Children Killed in Pakistani Air force Bombings

And from the Journal of World Affairs....

I'm not sure about the Baloch websites that may be more of propaganda, but other independent sources as above have clearly mentioned PAF bombing in Balochistan. It is an undeniable historical fact that Tikka Khan ordered the PAF to bomb the Balochis into submission notwithstanding what your text books have to say.

Thanks for mentioning where you are receiving your data from.

So that means a rag tag circus of a hundred or so, pitted against 100,000 fully armed soldiers of the PA plus PAF, waging a war for the past 60 years!! And the result?

Something doesn't add up here!! :cheesy:

Read carefully .

The Baluch people follow the orders of their tribal leaders , so even if one of them is against the state , he for his own influence and interests can order the people of his tribe/the branch of the tribe to fight against the state when they have got nothing to get by it . I am sure you read the news of the mass surrender ? The local people didn't even have any idea what were they fighting for and what was to be gained by it .

This isn't a rag tag circus of hundred or so but it isn't the supposed ' war of independence ' by the subjugated and oppressed masses too . A few thousand insurgents do not represent the entire population of the province .

Waging a war for the last 60 years ? :what: You got to be kidding me ! Last time , we faced problems after the '71 war again with the same tribal rivalries for power and position , that time the same Bugti was fighting with the army against other tribe . Later , he did the same and met his fate .

Ok, let's re-wind. You don't seem to be aware that on May 16, 1948, Prince Abdul Karim Khan, the younger brother of the Khan, decided to lead a rebellion. The Prince invited the leading members of nationalist political parties—the Kalat State National Party, the Baloch League, and the Baloch National Workers Party—to join him in the struggle for the creation of an independent "Greater Balochistan."

And that's when the insurgency started.

Fast forward to the Second Balochistan Conflict (1958) when 'Babu' Nowroz, who was the head of the Zarakzai tribes of Balochistan started an armed struggle against Pakistan.

Then there's the next one that started in the early 70s when the separatists again started an armed struggle against the Pakistani army in Balochistan. In 1973, an assault by the Pakistani Air Force ordered by General Tikka Khan, later referred to as the 'Butcher of Balochistan', led to the deaths of five thousand guerrillas and more than three thousand soldiers.

And the simmering discontent continues till this day.

i dont know how true this report is but as far as i have seen this paper and especially this reporter i believe they are nothing more than 3rd class agencies' touts. moreover in my opinion this newspaper's nothing but gutter journalism. so better to take their word no more than a pinch of salt.

BATMAN

Plz dont present 1 side of the story. many innocent baloch women and kids have been reduced to ash by shelling of cobra gunships in Dera Bugti and other parts of Balochistan and its natural that the other side would retaliate for their defence.

Moreover also remember that Baloch tribals are notorious for taking revenge maybe even more so than the Pathans.

Even if I were to rewind and if I didn't know all this , I wouldn't still declare a war continuing from 60 years as you have . Let me give you a detailed account of the thing you consider as the cause of all trouble in the province . The first reluctant Khan of Kalat joined Pakistan after the other parts of his princely state chose to do so , declaring their support and loyalty to the newly created country and the link to the sea was cut . So , even though the Khan initially wanted to remain independent , it was no longer an option and he joined the dominion of Pakistan eventually .

However , what finally forced the Khan of Kalat to accede was the furore caused by news on the All India Radio that the Khan had been negotiating with India. As a consequence , a report claimed that the brother of the Khan, who was also the Governor of Kalat, was leaving for Afghanistan with his wife, who was from the Royal Afghan family.

However, on March 28, the Reuters news agency carried a story filed from Karachi that ‘“Gateway State” Joins Pakistan’. The Khan issued a communique, which said: “On the night of March 27, All India Radio, Delhi announced that two months ago Kalat State had approached the Indian Union to accept its accession to India and that the Indian Union had rejected the request…It had never been my intention to accede to India . . . It is, therefore, declared that from 9 pm on March 27th – the time when I heard the false news over the air, I forthwith decide to accede to Pakistan, and that whatever differences now exist between Kalat and Pakistan be placed in writing before Mr Jinnah, the Governor-General of Pakistan, whose decision I shall accept.

It is apparent that the member of his family who once had the Govt in the princely state didn't like it and took up arms against the state of Pakistan . It was only in July 1948 , three months after the accession of Kalat, when the Khan’s brother, Prince Abdul Karim , returned to Kalat with a lashkar and a skirmish took place between the lashkar and a small Pakistan army contingent. Most of them were arrested .

Now , would you call a small skirmish between the Pakistan army and a small number of militants who weren't being supported by the population at all but merely angry at the loss of throne as the cause of all trouble in the province now ?

@OrionHunter

If you study this ' conflict ' in detail which has continued from time to time , you would always find ' tribal rivalries ' and ' dreams of the tribal leader for power and their interest ' in every uprising . The second conflict was also against an angry leader of the tribe and a token militants , quickly taken care of , not supported by the populace and the ' involved people ' were arrested and charged with treason , the Nawab himself died in jail . I wouldn't blame General Tikka Khan for taking care of ' militants ' engaging in activities against state , at that time , we were actively supported by the Shah of Iran who sent money as well as military weapons . That is what the state does . There's nothing wrong as you are trying to portray seeing that butcher thing .
