Bahria Town Karachi street view...a mini Dubai in the making?

really? no offence but it looks better than what i presumed most of india is like though i could be wrong. if an average indian town is like this then pakistan may be further behind in infrastructural development than i previously thought.

Please read the thread title.. i am referring this township looks normal like any other township.. calling it mini dubai is far fetched.. most or towns/ cities got such projects..

yeah m8 i get that but the post you were replying to already said that it's not actually like dubai but he argued that it looks like dubai in the making. i was referring to your comment about it looking like a normal township which i don't think it does if you compare it to normal towns in pakistan and india though i got confused between a township and town. you're right it's not as developed as dubai but still pretty good i'd say

Township- projects like this constructed near a town/ city.. real estate ventures..

Stunning. I am amazed at indian jumping at this post, ignoring the fact that India is host to 13 of the world's most polluted cities out of top 20. They know that they cant get better so they ll criticize anything that is better in neighboring country.

Of course it looks better than "most of India".

But you seem to confuse towns and townships. There are multiple townships like these in Noida itself, for example.
by most you mean 98%. It certainly is.

Sorry to say this, i can see a township.. but nothing comparable to dubai..
Have you ever been to Dubai? Or any one is your family ever been to Dubai? I seriously doubt that.

At dusk...

Looks at the overall greenery in greater Noida...

This is not in Newyork, but in Mumbai

A city should be world class if it should satisfy below criteria:-

1.More 3 star and 5 star hotels
2.Rail metro connectivity and decent rail infrastructure
3.MNC's presence at large
4.Good and big airport terminal
5.World class hospital and education institutions
6.Skyline at large(Not to be mandatory)
7. Good malls
8. Better road connectivity
9. Tourist attractions in city or in vicinity.

If one city host 1 or 2 big buildings does not mean that it become and going to become world class.

its good he made it in Karachi . Karachi need improvement since long time . now ultra rich can move here
Bahria Town has never been a society of Ultra Rich. Ultra Rich have a special love for Defense or Socities which allow you to build a massive house up to 5 to 6 Kanals

.
instead of developing industry investors are putting their money in such realestate projects and gas and electricity is provided to such housing schemes at expense of industry.these realestate business benefit country only for short time but industry and technology development is needed for real economic growth.i have doubt that malikriaz is evading tax.he should be taxed severely as he is earning most

Corruption money talking
Buying and selling has been prohibited by SC... the acquisition of this land is illegal/controversial (allegations of use of force and coercion & land grabbing) Malik chutiya riaz openly boasting about bribing people.. I just hope he doesn’t escape Justice this time.

Probably you’ve never lived or been o Bahria town.. you will find houses in acres too ... yeah acres !

An average 1 kanal or 500 sq house sells there for over 5-6 crores (easy).

DHA is actually (or was started as a place for retired officer) is now full of civilians because of the status symbol craze... that’s the reason Land there became expensive ...

looks pretty good.

Yeah looks good, but trees are missing.. i think govts should mandate to plant tree's in such projects...

Here you go gurgaon budyy

Gurgaon, the DLF city pics you posted looks good on surface with some shiny office towers and condos, but the city is poorly planned no storm water drainage, no parking for offices, no footpaths and walkways. It gets inundated when it rains so is many parts of Delhi as well.

Bahria town doesn't have the shiny office towers now as the city is first planned to have good roads, footpaths, storm water drainage, cycling tracks, underground gas, electricity and other utilities...first buildings and people comes later, In Indian cities mostly you build office towers and condos and master plan the cities later on....

-There’s also the hundreds of Fortune 500 companies located in what I can only think is ironically called, CyberCity. An approximately 3 kilometer stretch with no parking to speak of, and pretty much no road as well.

-This is civic sense at its best. Build a road, block the drainage system on a 5 kilometre stretch and be least bothered about it. And now our colony entrance was submerged in 3 feet of water. So you had a choice. You could park your car in the nearest pothole or you could use it as a sailboat. I chose the latter.

It is actually people hard earned money who trust on Bahria Town...even with all the vibes coming out. Malik Riaz using kickbacks to get things done is another thing. More than 3.0 to 4.0 lac people have invested in BT Karachi. As Malik Riaz has confessed he makes land files flies and other thing like getting a electricity and water connection faster through his connections and that includes favors and kickbacks.

Construction is going on a vast area which have no litigation and is legal, some part of the land deals is under investigation.
lols.its not just some kickbacks here and there this project is total fraud!! land belonging to MDA on highway transfered to some land near hub(balochistan) after paying 14000 something per acre and villages who have been there since independence grabbed with help of the greatest police officer and Armys pet dog Mr Rao Anwar...water of Karachi city diverted to Bharia town becuase Armys big boss Mr Asif Zardari is partner in this project!

so no matter how amazing planning or construction is corruption is corruption and Malik Riaz should be held accountable! but court aint got no balls to do anything against him!

same is the case with Dha city specially how k4 the project that was for city of khi now diverted to facilitate fauji housing and bhria town!
