Bahria Town Karachi street view...a mini Dubai in the making?

.
It used to be a secluded area.
I wonder, why people of Pakistan don't like the person.... who deliver good to them!?
Is there a parallel to Malik Riaz in Pakistan?
bus mat poocha kareen aysi bateen

. . .
I hope it will be the best one in Pakistan but I've heard Bahria town is involved in illegal land grabbing

Illegal grabbing is not possible by fame name like Bahria.
As i stated this land was secluded area, not even bushes grew there.
Today, its the better than Karachi defense.
Sure, corrupt bureaucracy is loosing value of their property, which they have earned after life long corruption. This is why they are vindictive towards Bahria.

There are those as well.. who don't live there so are jealous and talk nonsense about Bahria.

.
corruption ki blessings!

It is actually people hard earned money who trust on Bahria Town...even with all the vibes coming out. Malik Riaz using kickbacks to get things done is another thing. More than 3.0 to 4.0 lac people have invested in BT Karachi. As Malik Riaz has confessed he makes land files flies and other thing like getting a electricity and water connection faster through his connections and that includes favors and kickbacks.

Construction is going on a vast area which have no litigation and is legal, some part of the land deals is under investigation.

He is the same guy told in the pakistani media that he is going to construct world's tallest building in karachi few year back.

Think yes...not the world tallest so far, but Pakistan's tallest Bahria Icon at 62 story plus 7 basement floors and a 41 story hotel and apts. tower is also his project. Many others big projects also.

.
Seems to be an ultra rich person .... or may be a mask to invest some politicians money

Yes and No...he confessed many times that he lives a very simple life, clad in a Dhoti and Kurta, and accepts that he had a very humble rather poor background. Yes he has good contacts with many bigwigs and politicians, they help him getting the things done, Malik Riaz helps them in commissions and some profit percentage. Win Win...

nice joke though it's hard to tell on pdf these days.
for those who didn't get it: it's funny because the rich and famous, even those regarded as truthful and sincere, are involved in corruption in pakistan.

even if we were to assume that the property being land grabbed (which i've heard) belongs solely to the "corrupt bureaucracy" and not the very many ordinary pakistanis in pakistan and abroad who own land, taking it from these people through corrupt means in neither moral nor a solution to the problem.

First you build the infra roads, good quality sewerage and storm water disposal, gas and utilities, other basics...buildings and people comes later.

What you see right now is just the infra mainly...highrises, hotels and towns comes later. Wait and see, this is just a 3 year old project.

Dubai is a kind of Metaphor used here, not in a literal sense...doesn't have to be Dubai like.

In many blocks people are living here and the house were very cheap with all the community facilities. The idea was instead of making big bungalows which are not affordable, build smaller townhouses in diff. variants and put the facilities associated with good lifestyle in a centralized way, like community centers, garbage disposal, club houses, hospitals and zoo, malls and schools in a centralized system, unlike big bungalows having individual gardens, pools and individual perks.

really? no offence but it looks better than what i presumed most of india is like though i could be wrong. if an average indian town is like this then pakistan may be further behind in infrastructural development than i previously thought.

Of course it looks better than "most of India".

But you seem to confuse towns and townships. There are multiple townships like these in Noida itself, for example.

Wow, from pictures, Noida looks very nice. Yeah, I'm a bit confused about the difference between towns and townships. I'm guessing townships in the context of India and Pakistan are privately developed settlements. Wiki says that the definition of township varies around the world
