On 13 February 2025 a car drove into a crowd of trade union demonstrators in Munich Germany resulting at least 15 injuries. The incident occurred around 10:30 am local time near the city's central train station specifically in the area of Dachauer Street and Seidl Street. The demonstrators were participating in a rally organized by the Verdi trade union which was holding a oneday strike for municipal employees. A grey Mini Cooper was involved in the incident and the vehicle sustained damage including a smashed windscreen.

Emergency services responded to scene and a major police operation is initiated. Driver of Mini Cooper is apprehended at the spot and is currently being questioned by police. Authorities stated that driver is no longer a threat but we are still investigating whether the act is intentional or accidental. Eyewitness accounts described a disorderly scene with people crying because of illness. One journalist reported seeing a person lying on the street and people sitting on the ground visibly upset. A child is also reported to be among the injured.

Incident took place just a day before the start of Munich Security Conference which is set to start on Friday and is expected to draw top leaders and media representatives from around the world. Location of the crash is less than a mile from the conference venue. Due to the ongoing police operation traffic disruptions are expected in the area and public has been advised to avoid the area to allow emergency services to work. The incident is under investigation.
