Thanks for the support. This will be the first time a Pakistani Nationalist will launch a book and PDF community will be mentioned in the book. I am open to ideas so if you know something extra do tell me... I am in the final editing stages and am mostly confirming all of what is written is historically and factually correct and adding bits of Pashtun history.

If you want to learn about South Waziristan make sure you buy the book when it comes out... maybe I will have a few free copies as well.

I cannot remember the name of the publisher but he is based in Urdu Bazzar and publishes for some major authors in Pak, he also have a syndication with Amazon. Ask around, i will too... I remember meeting him at some random expo, if i find his business card i will pm you.

I thank you deeply for this offer and the support you have offered.

I am personally making efforts to go with either randomhouse/penguin (which make up about 80% of book sales after their merger) or harper collins, particularly powerful companies in the field of fiction and having a stranglehold on the market... they are by far the largest and most powerful publishers around and can market the book internationally. There are many local publishers that have been suggested though.

In fact I have already signed a contract with one and they have given me a great deal of freedom which I like... but the issue is they are a weak publisher and do not have much clout internationally. Their sales too have been stronger for children's books and non-fiction. I have yet to see a single fiction book on their list of success stories and mine is not about the US (where the company is based) but about Pakistan. My plan is to find a stronger publisher and cancel that contract.

Recently I was both making intensive edits and adding a lot of cultural aspects... for example describing customs such as the jirga, pashtunwali, attan and lots of things as the book focuses on the plight of Pashtuns since the war on terror. Also I am adding poetry from Rehman Baba. There is a whole chapter about Kaniguram which is the birthplace of Pir Roshan. Its basically a brilliant culture and historical past that I hope to bring alive with my book. Currently I am on a break trying to gain followers and supporters for the project.

I will try to find a publisher later on after the edits though since I am looking to bag the great whale I may need to find an agent first.

If you do find your contacts business card... do PM me however. It is heartening to know that my people support me. My book hopes to make a statement on drone strikes and send the message that without understanding the customs of the people this war cannot be won.

No matter how much you knock, no one here would be interested in your book. Tell them that you are writing a book about pak fauj ke karnamy then you might be able to get some attention.

"When the army has warned civilians in advance, usually between two and five hours ahead of an attack, it was frequently insufficient advance time for many residents - particularly the elderly, the sick, and families with young children - to reach safe areas. While the curfew has been lifted for evacuations, the army reportedly did not provide any assistance with transportation. Private transport was hired by those who could find and afford it, but others were forced to flee on foot"



Villagers from Khwazakhela reported that in early May the Pakistani army attacked Taliban forces in the village without warning, making it difficult for civilians to leave. Shelling caused at least five civilian deaths. Villagers said that when army tanks entered the village the residents fled into the mountains under mortar fire. A 35-year-old woman told Human Rights Watch:
"We left after our neighbors were killed by the mortar fire. At that time,both Taliban and the army were fighting in the village. In one house, a mortar shell killed a child and three women; in another - two women. Our men told us what happened, and we all decided to run away. We left together with some five or six other families; altogether about a hundred people. As we were leaving the village, we saw tanks in the streets; the army had already entered the village. We could not use the roads because of the intense fighting - we left through the mountains and walked on foot for four days to get out of the area."
