PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry said on Friday that Azhar Mashwani, who the party alleged was “abducted” in Lahore a day earlier, had been shifted to Islamabad.
The PTI social media activist was picked up on Thursday, apparently on charges of criticising the Punjab police and the caretaker government for allegedly using high-handed tactics against party workers.
The arrest had prompted PTI chief Imran Khan to say, “enough is enough” as he accused authorities of abducting the party activist. Imran also said he was sending pictures of all officials involved in the crackdown on his workers to international human rights organisations so that they could “identify those working for the state and indulging in abductions, illegal break-ins into homes, custodial torture and violence against political leaders and unarmed workers of PTI”.
Speaking to Dawn.com today, Fawad said the party was tracing Mashwani’s location.
“We have been tracking Mashwani’s location,” the ex-information minister said. “He was at the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) office in Bedian. Then he was shifted to Islamabad”.
Fawad said the party had tried to get a first information report (FIR) registered against Mashwani’s alleged abduction but officials had refused to do so. “We tried registering it at the Green Town police station but they did not lodge a report.”
He added that the police were being “pressurised” to not register a FIR against the PTI activist’s “illegal abduction”.
Fawad also said that a habeas corpus petition had been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking Mashwani’s recovery. He said that the registrar’s office had raised an objection but the case had been listed for hearing at the LHC Rawalpindi bench on Monday (March 27).

OUR MILITARY GENERALS AND HIGH COMMAND HAVE GONE ROUGE HENCE ALL THIS DRAMA :

1. THE AID
USA was giving $$ to Pak establishment as their retirement fund. Different amounts through different times, but it all changed when Donald Trump stopped the aid (retirement package) in 2019 and started the withdrawal in Afghanistan.
As a result the current retiring higher rank officers would never get the retirement package which their predecessors got before 2019.

2. US PULLS OUT FROM THE REGION
Second trick our retirement package seeking tried to pull off was, after US left Afghanistan our establishment tried to use fund and aid Afghanistan rebuilding fund and wanted piece of that pie but but but west check mated them by asking for women rights in Afghanistan which is never acceptable to Taliban's espically the standards that west demands. Therefore no money huunny.

3. RUSSIA UKRINE CONFLICT
So Russia is about to invade Ukraine and I'm damn sure our military establishment knew and they pushed Imran Khan into Russia and sat by the phone to ring while having glass of whiskey. Phone indeed rang and smile all across ghq because this call is from USA . Now generals are back in the game. They can have their retirement packages and estates in Europe, now $$$$ are back.

4. IMRAN KHAN THE PROBLEM
Imran khan is no saint but one thing our establishment couldnt get him to do, sell out nations intrest for $$ or some nice villa in europe. If PTI govt comes in power the real question is whether enforce disparence and current kidnapping will be answered or not it will like 2018 a deal will be made

We agree that army belongs on border defending frontiers not occupying cities. So on that principal we the public can harass them should harass them when you see them in cities. They are using fear tactic well you play fear with fear
why we have to storm GHQ when we can storm their homes their farm houses. We can harass their kids when in public an example of it is If you see any kid or relative of an army crook bump into him gather public and say he is doing badmashi because he is relative of brigadier or general so and so and watch public react. Mark those places like gym khanas and marinas and golf courses storm their because that's where you will find them drunk on whiskey fetching the ball. harass their families as they are harassing general Pakistani people with their evil low mentality

2018 deal was against criminals. As like myself and most of other patriots here were mislead by army that army operation is against the criminals but from events of past 1 year it is evident now that it was just a smoke screen and armed forces were managing everything from behind the curtains and the real objective was to keep the power..

So I am hopeful that with new reality in front there will be no deal atleast for illegal activities however, working with establishment for betterment of Pakistan (like it was done during COVID) should be continued.

BTW Mashwani is my friend, our company has business relations with him (how he got business is another story), I am against his arrest.

Disappearance of anyone without notice without trial is a cause for concern. It is very painful especially for the family.

Whether it is a government or an agency, it is absolute cruelty and it is the responsibility of the state to protect the fundamental rights of every citizen.

The government should contact Azhar Mashwani's family and console them.

The government should use its resources to search for Azhar Mashwani and should not give-up until his recovery.
