The Aselpod is confirm that was one of The main requirement of Azerbaijan. Avionics are from China because that suite is better with JF-17 systems air to air weapons will be from ROKETSAN and will be produced in Pakistan. Data link will come from Turkey integrated environment awareness. These things are being negotiated currently between Azerbaijan and PAC.

no. i dont think so at all; they still need to be retrofitted if at all there is a decision to re-upgrade blk1/2.

I thought the price was somewhere between $25M to $30M for block 2.

Price isnt simple thing..there are so many factors that go into like training and support package etc

On another note some members are claiming that block 2 has AESA, i have my doubts because as far as i have read it will be on block 3 and only than can one imagine than previous blocks will be brought up to the block 3 standard. Your take?

Block 2 has all the wiring available for AESA. The Mil-std bus and processor is compatible with most equipment.

Hmm ok but what about power? I think this was one of the reasons for it to be considered for block 3 as by than a more powerful chinese domestic engines would be matured enough to be used in JF-17.

Now if Iran still want to buy jF17 they should send official request to PAC.
