Award for Hasina - French university to honour her for democracy

You can't see without a religious filter, so you are not going to understand my post.

It's true that I take Islam as serious matter and discredit people like Tagore because his writing based on Shirk.

If you understand Urdu then I will urge you to read jawab e shikwa by Allama Iqbal. If you do not understand Urdu then you may want read the english translation.

if you into literature then you may also want to explore the literature of Persian poet Hafiz and Allama Roomi.

Our national poet Kazi Najrul Islam's much writing inspired from Hafiz and Roomis writing.

.
Can you translate that in English or Bangla so that I can respond?

3. Yes, Tagore was not very kind to Muslims. He was a zamindar (landlord) where his poor serfs were mostly Muslim. In his writings Tagore referred to the Muslims as "jabon" or "melechha" - both derogatory terms. He also wrote for the upper class. Common man does not understand or enjoy his poems or songs. That is why the outgoing leftist govt of W Bengal had nearly banned him.

Pray tell me, dear Sir, what sh!t have you been smoking when you said Tagore was banned in West Bengal? Also would you please enlighten us exactly where did Tagore use 'Mlechchho' and 'Jaban'?

Zakir did Nazrul also not commit shirk by writing Shyama Sangeet(prayers to goddess Kali)? ;)

.
Nazrul's poetry imbibed the passion and creativity of Shakti, which is identified as the Brahman, the personification of primordial energy. He wrote and composed many bhajans, shyamasangeet, agamanis and kirtans. He also composed large number of songs on invocation to Lord Shiva, Goddesses Lakshmi and Saraswati and on the theme of love of Radha and Krishna.

Feature

My GAWD, THAT'S SHIRK GALORE!!!!

.

It was simple English.

He was wondering why such religious intolerance from a person who is enjoying the fruits of a 'kaffir' nation i.e. the US and a country which is known to such religious fanatics as the 'Great White Satan'.

Indirectly the wonderment is that those who are steeped in religion, should not display crass opportunism and talk through both ends of the mouth.

A legitimate doubt.

Ah, makes sense.

Well, I am not really a religious person. I don't even read religious posts.

Although I can say that Al-Zakir is clearly displaying intolerance.

Islam is not a country, it is a religion. Some people out there just couldn't get that fact in their heads.

.
Really; even after staying a open society like USA/UK; minds of some of these islamic scumbags is filled with hatred for non-muslims... I really fail to understand mindset of these people.

Begum Zia alt east has some class unlike classless la-Hasina.

Begum Zia was ready to step down and if 9/11 didn't take place then she would have transfer the chairman ship to Tareq Zia. Why Awami scare Tareq so much? Let him back to the country and Let the people decide if he would be next PM of Bangladesh. This how democracy work in most places.

But so Awami know, if BNP and alliance come back to power after next or before election then some score will be settled.

Could you write more coherently so that one can understand?

Without the verbs and articles, it is very difficult to get what is wanted to be understood.

All know that Islam is a religion and not a country.

But Al Zakira make it appear that Islam is a country.

It confuses all as to what is going on.

And when he/she drops the articles and verbs, then it is total chaos!

1.In an academic Forum, discussions are best if the discussants remain civil.

2. There is a difference between "banned" and "nearly banned".

3. "Melechha" and "Jabon" are used in several writings of Tagore referring to Muslims. In our country we read Tagore throughout our academic career. You probably don't.
