I am Potohari my self, sure their are very fair people but on average Khattaks are way fairer.Kudos

I didn't saw any but pretty sure they will score around 30%>><<35% ASI based on looks. They don't look that different then lets say potohari rajas.

ASI itself was half West Eurasian but I think yes, they look similar to other Potoharies.

Both look different and Nisar isn't even that light skinned compared to Khattak. Compared to Altaf Hussain yes. Anyway have you guys seen northern gujjars? These pretty much look like pakhtuns and other people of northen areas while speaking indic language which is closer to pahari/potohari/punjabi of mainland. Some even say they migrated from Rajasthan. But it doesn't make sense. From rajasthan only kanjars, chuhras, gypsy and other such people migration is possible. Its like brahui who speak dravidian but don't look the part and neither genetically.

This guy is Malik from south punjab, not sure about him being awan. He was brought up in USA and didn't had any clue when I asked him later on.

Khattaks on average are lighter than any Punjabi/Potohari/non-pashtoon Hazarwal group, though Awans/Maliks do tend to be quite fair skinned

depending on the area, NO.
awans come in all shades of skin color from super fair (with light-colored eyes) to very dark depending on the area. i can safely say that 15-20% of awans in my pind are fairer than an average pashtoon. kakku, gora, ratta (red), chittu are pretty common nicknames for kids here. Needless to say Awans' prominent feature is a long pointy and usually hooked nose.

No I am from kahuta (janjua) but married to qutb shahi awan even after all this family opposition and they are from sagri on mankiala road( probably 25 km from rawalpindi) so went there many times

What Awans claim to be can be found even in the oldest studies of subcontinent. What other ppl claim about Awans is all speculation based on guesses just like the one in the first post. It doesn't matter bcz we believe in the following quote

Thats near Gujjar Khan i guess. Yes there are Awans in that area. Basically they are towns and villages in Chakwal that are 100% awan but as you move from Chakwal to Pindi their density decreases. There are still a lot of Awans in Gujjar Khan and adjoining areas and marriages outside the tribe were unheard of 15-20 years ago.

yeah.
i just want us awans to be left alone.
we give more blood for the country than all other people combined, we give panah to pakhtoons who get expelled from their land because of their tribal thing, give our zameenen to afghan so they can do agriculture and support their ginormous families.. and people are busy going to great lengths to prove how we are not this and that.

I dont have good views of Arabs and we know how arab treat their Pakistani brother in Islam so i personally have nothing against your claims of having arab origin just like there are plenty of sayyid who claim arab ancestry but i am sure arabs will laugh at such claims...I was just curious after i heard this qutb shahi thing from wife ..
