Awami League Media Terrorism - Amardesh publisher arrested

I do not know why Mahmudur Rahman was arrested, but people want to know about Joy, the son of BD Prime Minister. What is his real source of income in america where he lives a luxurious life with his Jewish wife? No doubt, people will suspect he is getting commission from big companies to get them contract in BD. No difference between this guy and the two idiot sons of Begum Zia.

Bunch of idiots.... :

Mahmudur Rahman was arrested because his newspaper revealed Sajeeb Wazed Joy ( son of Sheikh Hasina ) took $ 5 million bribes from CHEVRON !

Bunch of idiots.... no wonder he is getting A$$ kicked... Comedians...:lol:

There are hundreds of other incidents where newspaper, TV and journalists came under attack from Awami fascist regime. Awami thugs who are having trouble pushing "digital decption" will only be petty (pati) jokers.

Here is most visible list of Awami regime terrorism against media.

1. Awami regime predecessor and ally the 1/11 regime bans CSB, the only 24/7 news channel in Bangladesh. This government keeps the ban on.

2. Awami regime blocks youtube as someone posted the audio conversations between disgruntled military officers with the PM during a meeting of PM and military officers soon after a deadly mutiny by paramilitary force BDR.

3. Awami regime shuts down test transmission of Jamuna TV.

4. Awami regime comes down hard on the editor of Daily Amar Desh for publishing a story of corruption involving PM’s son Mr Sajib Wajed Joy, PM’s advisor Toufiq Elahi Chowdhury and Chevron. Several dozen cases got filed against him in every corner of Bangladesh.

5. Awami regime shuts down very popular TV channel ‘Channel 1′, citing silly procedural reasons. Thousands of journalists became jobless. Millions of dollar investment went astray.

6. Awami regime starts crack down on TV channels. Some TV start using government crackdown to impose their own censorship on TV hosts. Popular TV talk show, “Point of Order” is shut down forcibly since a government leader failed to answer the question of the anchor.

7. Citing the same reason and reintroduction of some black list, some popular TV shows start self censorship. One example is popular midnight talk show, ” Grameen Phone Ajker Shongbad Potro” of channel I. This show used to invite guests favoring government and critiquing government. Sources close to one guest critiquing government says that all those who are critical of government has been black listed from the show. As a result, this show no longer invites guests like Asafuddoula, Asif Nazrul, Nurul Kabir, Mahfuzullah etc. Now only pro government guests are invited to discuss with the anchor of the show. The paranoia has reached such an intense level that a total non political art show host’s monologue is censored as he is known to be a critique of the government. In one of his shows when he ends, with ” Good bye, good night, apnara nirapode thakun ( be safe), apnader biddut o pani thakuk, ( Wish you have adequate supply of electricity and water)”, last two pharases, “apnara nirapode thakun ( be safe), apnader biddut o pani thakuk, ( Wish you have adequate supply of electricity and water)” are cut off the show.

8. A senior minister announces in a public meeting that one TV channel is closed for giving the opposition leader lot of coverage and government was trying to shut down other TV channels too.

9. Awami regime arrests one young man for posting a caricature of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

10. Awami regime bans facebook , reports come out that facebook ban was enforced due to governments’ unease at the publication of some classified sections of a government report of a paramilitary mutiny in Bangladesh.

11. Awami regime clsoed popular Bangla daily Amardesh and arrested its acting editor Mahmudur Rahman with fabricated case.

When one has a friend like this he does not need an enemy! A perfect terrorist disguised as warrior against terrorism!
Couldn't have been said it better as Tirtle Fukcs, Commie Malaun, Congressite and BJPite Chauvanist-Nationalists are in same mission of Bharat-Mata's expansion by our expence. Thoughtful people need to dig deep to unearth the layers of their masks, veneers. There shouldn't be any containment in doing so by nationalistic or ethinic boundaries since hardly any nation hold a portion of 1 Billion Honuman warriors.

Dhaka, Jun 10 The High Court has stayed for three months the government order stopping publication of the Bangla-language daily newspaper Amar Desh.

The court also asked the government to explain within four weeks why the cancellation order, issued by Dhaka's Deputy Commissioner, should not be declared illegal.

The bench of justices Nazmun Ara Sultana and Sheikh Hasan Arif gave the orders on Thursday following a writ petition challenging the government order filed by Anwar-ur-Nabi, acting chairman of the recently shut down newspaper.

Barrister Abdur Razzak acted for the petitioner in court while additional attorney general MK Rahman argued for the government.

After the order was given, Razzak told bdnews24.com, that "in line with the order, there is now no barrier stopping the publication of Amar Desh. The newspaper can now be published whenever it wishes."

For press purpose only

Former Energy Adviser to Bangladesh Govt. and the acting Editor of ‘The Daily Amar Desh’, Mr. Mahmudur

Rahman was tortured in police custody at Cantonment Police Station on 09.06.2010 although, was not supposed

to be there since, he was under control of Investigation Officer Mr. Rezaul Karim of Tejgaon Police Station. Mr.

Rahman made this statement before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate Ms Shamima Pervin after being

produced upon 3 days expiry of remand in connection with Tejgaon PS Case No. 2(6)10.

According to Mr. Rahman’s version, in a dark room, being blindfolded, he was attacked by some police personnel

or other individuals at around 1-30 am who unclothed him, started beating mercilessly. They did not quiz him in

respect of the case for which remand was granted. Due to serious torture he became unconscious within half an

hour. When woke up at around 4-30 am, he realized that he was somewhere else.

As a Counsel for Mr Rahman, I have submitted Lawyer’s certificate in respect of the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s

order passed on 10.06.2010 with regard to Mr Rahman’s remand order issued earlier in all cases before the Court.

As per the Order of the Supreme Court, the Magistrate was bound to send Mr Rahman before a medical board for

examination of his health. However, without following the order of the superior court, the Magistrate sent Mr.

Rahman to the Jail custody and asked the jail authority to provide him medical treatment if necessary. I have heard

that Mr Rahman has already been taken to Uttara Police Station or to Ditective Branch Office of Police at Minto

Road on 4 days remand by an order of another Magistrate, which was completely beyond our knowledge and

without informing us. If this is the case, then, the Magistrate and Investigating Officer committed an offence of

contempt of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. In due course, we will file contempt petition against those who

violated the Hon’ble Court’s Order.
