Islamabad is not a hill station. Whatever gave you that idea? It happens to be surrounded by hills . Has a population of 2 million .

Have you looked at what wealth is listed for Iran? 3654 USD....and its income is more than triple that of India (nominal terms).

There is a reason why Nominal wealth is relatively poorly estimated (according to credit suisse itself) given what counts as wealth definition wise....and what issues crop up regarding exchange rates.

Another major issue is if you spend a lot on expendables compared to hard assets with your income each year, you may have less physical wealth but it doesnt mean you are less well off necessarily. Combine it with black money effect (for both countries actually and many more). Thats why income is a more solid indicator of economic development per person.

Plus this is the 2015 report, so its one year old now.

No Harm in accepting that average Pakistani's are wealthier . . Some Indicators India is better in others its Pakistan . If you do happen to visit Pakistan you will find out credit suisse isn't wrong .

An article from 2007. Since then Pakistan growth rate has retarded from 7-8% peak in 2005 to 1.8% 2008 and is still huffing and puffing. And in what world is India 's poverty lesser than Pakistan in 2016 ? Check World bank and MPI .

Apparently the median wealth of Kazakhstan is 889 USD.....with GDP per adult of 22,000 USD.

Median wealth of Ukraine is similarly 166 USD with nominal GDP per adult twice that of India.

If you actually read the details behind how Credit Suisse estimated wealth (and the drawbacks they mention to their methodology and analysis)...you would know why this is the case.
