Auto sector: China's success but India's challenges

Lastly, instead of being antagonistic, we should grow together.

It is not us who have a mental breakdown when the word China is mentioned.

Ask any Chinese member here, we were never even taught about the 1962 war in school. Our media does not bash India, the average Chinese person knows literally nothing about India. We come onto this forum with a neutral stance.

India on the other hand has a serious obsession with China, not a day goes by without the Indian media writing scaremongering articles about China.

Simple we live in a free society. I was also was not taught anything about 1962, but we know what happened. We don't need govt to tell us what we should know. Also your Govt may not want their citizens to know anything about India but they surely want an entire state of ours. How do you expect us to turn a blind eye to that?

OP started thread to say india is developing country and china is superpower.

OK Congrates, China is a superpower happy now,

But fact is we indians purchase more of indian brands (thats why tata, bajaj, Mahindra maruti sell more cars than foreign brands)while chinese people like to purchase foreign brands more than their own cars. May be they dont trust their own brands.

Can somebody post percent of foreign brand cars vs local brand car in china and india.

they are all made in China.many world renowned car makers were bought by Chinese companies and in the future many will become Chinese brands.

That doesn't make a foreign car Chinese also Indian companies also owns global brands like Tata owning Jaguar and Land Rover but Jag and Land Rover still is and will be iconic British brands.

LOL, buddy. The media here in Hong Kong is ranked the 2nd most free in Asia, after Japan. (India is not ranked in the top 100).

Yet I have never once heard of the 1962 war before I came onto this forum.

The mental block against China-India cooperation is entirely from the Indian side, they get so paranoid over China that they are even scared to use their real flags, like "Smarterthanyou".

Reminds me of an Arabic friend who once asked me where is Singapore situated? I was shocked in a way, but he explained that his geography lessons only covered Arabia..that may be the case in yours also.

You accuse us of being obsessed with China..we will be as long as you challenge our territorial integrity.

India Measures Itself Against a China That Doesn’t Notice - New York Times

MUMBAI, India — It seems to be a national obsession in India: measuring the country’s economic development against China’s yardstick.

Indians, in fact, seem to talk endlessly about all things China, a neighbor with whom they have long had a prickly relationship, but which is also one of the few other economies that has had 8 percent or more annual growth in recent years.

Indian newspapers are filled with articles comparing the two countries. Indian executives refer to China as a template for development. Government officials cite Beijing, variously as a threat, partner or role model.

But if keeping up with the Wangs is India’s economic motive force, the rivalry seems to be largely one-sided.

You are citing me polls that under the supervision of your govt? That have no integrity attached to it's numbers?. Our poor have cell phones, refrigators, landlines, PC's at home. The average American has what $45-48,000 in income, what does yours?

no one knows if thats true or not. if they tried to find out, they will end up like Bradley Manning, imprisoned without trial in a military brig. or they'll end up like the purebred American citizen born and raised in US of A who was killed just for going to Yemen.

China has 500 million internet user, nothing can prevent they know what they want to know.
The china medias have many news of developed countries such as Europe and American every day, most of them with admire.
But when you come to India media such as "TOI", you can only see negative news of China.
Corrupt officials and the rich who control the media want you know what they want you know, is it call "free media" or "free society"?
