Basically storm your argument amounts to "enemy of my enemy is a friend" but you don't see the achilles heel of that argument, that America is not a true enemy of China. If it wasn't for Taiwan we wouldn't even be talking about this.

Yes it was a bit of a mental challenge coming up with all of the counterpoints. However I don't think I enjoyed the arguments as much as you did.

That's because he comes up with arguments that seem very plausible on the face of it but the closer you look the more you are unconvinced by the reasoning and the principals on which they are based.

Couldn't have said it better myself. He would probably qualify as a great debator though, I give him that. The only way to win the judge's approval is to twist nonsense into plausible arguments. This, unfortunately, is also how lawyers work in most countries.
